I have the same type of question. I want to install my toontrack products on a new computer. I no longer use my older computer for my recording anymore. If I go to my downloads manager and “REMOVE” authorization, does that AUTOMATICALLY free up my authorization so I can use it to install on my other computer? I don’t want to “use up” an authorization on a computer that I don’t have anymore. Hope to hear from you soon 🙂

Toontrack allows 4 total authorizations. Inactive authorizations get automatically removed over time by the system. So unless you end up authorizing 4 machines within a week or 2, you shouldn’t have a problem.

Old activations can be removed via the Toontrack Product Manager. Install the Toontrack Product Manager on the new computer and you can download, install authorize on the new computer right from the Product Manager.

Hi, I have already bought the Superior Drummer 3. To have the brush strokes and glides do I have to buy the EZD2 and the Jazz EZX expansion pack?
The GRETSCH ROUND BADGE 1960s kit in S3 has brushes.

All EZXs and SDX expansion packs will work with S3.

First, if you’re really running S3.1.7, please update to the latest version (3.2.4) via the Product Manager.

The Blues Midi pack and the Blues EZX MIDI pack contain unique MIDI.

I don’t use Logic or a Mac so I can’t help specifically with that, but there should be audio and MIDI settings in Preferences (or something similar) in Logic where you just set MIDI input as the Alesis and audio output as the M-Audio outputs. Then, set the audio buffer to under 128 samples (64 or 32 samples of possible) for low latency. Then setting an EZD2 as an instrument track in Logic should do it.

Select your edrum as the MIDI input in EZD2 and set the audio output in EZD2 as the M-Audio box. Is that not working?

Isn’t that M audio interface just and 2 in 2 out audio interface? It doesn’t seem to be a MIDI interface. Or, can you post a link to what you are using? I looked up: M-Audio AIR 192|4 USB Audio Interface

thank you Scott this was very helpful. Now is there a way for me to make a cut at a particular track/take and have that cut reflect in all the tracks/takes at once? so I don’t have to make the same cut on each individual track/take? and is there a way to have the play head in superior link up through all the takes so when I click between takes the play head isn’t in a different position all the time? thank you for all your help!
best,
Anthony
No, I don’t believe their is. The multiple track feature is more for trying different arrangements and being able to quickly switch between them. My suggestion was more of a workaround to what you were trying to do.
Seems like a good idea for a feature request as it’s out of the scope of the current feature set.

Or, alternatively, you can turn off the “Follow Host” button on the EZD2 interface when you have MIDI on both a MIDI track in GB and the Song Track in EZD2 so they don’t play back simultaneously. That way you don’t have to delete anything.

Install the Toontrack Product Manager on the new computer and download, install, and authorize your products to the new computer. You don’t have to uninstall from the old computer but you can if you want

Thank you Scott,
I guess more specifically I am curious as to what expansion comes with the purchase of EZBass itself ( without buying any extra expansions )
2 bass libraries come with EZbass – one vintage and one modern.
And a bass MIDI library for a broad range of styles.

Hey will superior drummer 3 work on osx 10.7.5 mac running pro tools 10.3.10.
Operating system: Mac OS X Lion (10.7)
No. Pro Tools 10 isn’t 64-bit and S3 only runs in a 64-bit host.
