My EZ Drummer was installed E:\Music Studio Applications\Plugins\ToonTracks\EZ Drummer2\EZDrummer.dll
In there I have the following:
Folders: 32-bit which is empty, and 64-bit which has
File: EZDrummer.dll
It seems I have 2 dll files one a level above the other. I’m assuming that they are the dynamic link library. Which one should I be pointing to and do I need to delete one of them. Also the E: drive is an external SSD drive. Does EZ Drummer accept that?

From how you’ve described it, you have a plugin installed in E:\Music Studio Applications\Plugins\ToonTracks\EZ Drummer2\ and one inside a folder inside that location.
It would seem that the standalone version is not using the .dll in the 64-bit folder. Is the path in Studio One set to the one in the 64-bit folder or the other one? Have you tried to set it to the one outside the 64-bit folder?
The fact that it’s an SSD makes no difference.

Hi
My EZ2 stand alone opens fine. However through Studio One 5. when I drag it to a track it gives me popup messages for EZD and my two expansions that I don’t have the right version. Stand alone is at the right version and so are my studio one plugins. Why is iy don’t that and how can I fix.

Has the ezdrummer.dll been moved or copied since it was originally installed? Can you set a plugin path in Studio One to the location shown in your pic?

Hi guys, I’ve been trying to reproduce here in Studio One but I can’t.
I am not on Windows though, so that may be part of the explanation. I am using Studio One 5.3.0.Is there a problematic project you could zip and attach to a post here or is it all projects that are sluggish on your system?
BR,
JohnThx John,
This has been on all my projects. If I start using SD3 grid mode after opening a project it works ok for several minutes but all of a sudden there seems to be a build up resistance and it starts lagging. Sometimes to the point of having to force close my project.
This has happened on both my last desktop that was an I7 with 16 gigs of ram and my current new system that is a desktop I9 20 core 48 gigs of ram. I’m using a dual screen setup but had disconnected the second screen to see if that was the issue, but no change. I have also dedicated 6 cores and even higher in the settings to run SD3. Messed with all my buffering settings in my DAW Reaper, but no change.

Have you tried setting it to 1 core in the S3 settings?

Yes, uninstall EZD2 from the Windows Control Panel.

Thanked by: NickRYou would need to install EZD1 first, then EZD2. The Pop/Rock kits are from EZD1 and not included in the EZD2 installer.

I am also missing the Pop/Rock sounds like the Rogers snares and all that. I was using the EZ Drummer set 1 since 2013, then updated to the new EZ Drummer and I had all the sounds, but then I moved my setup to a new machine and reinstalled and it went missing.

Did you install EZD1 first, then EZD2? If not uninstall both and install in that order.

I can’t think of anything off hand as I’m not using Windows 10 or Reaper or Studio One. I would suggest contacting Toontrack Support directly via the Contact Support button in the FAQ below.

There is no option to create half bars. Only a full bar that you can then just shorten to a half bar.

Can you be specific about what you mean by important?

I would like to unite to that request of Joe Barresi Evil Drums SDX compatible for SD3, that would be a great addition. Is it actually compatible with anything?
I looked up some demos of this expansion on youtube and I’m watching a video of it being used in SD3 right now, so my guess is yes it is compatible haha
However, I’m not seeing it available anywhere for purchase anymore

Yes. The Evil Drums SDX is compatible with S2 and S3. And also yes, it’s no longer available for sale except on the second hand market.

Thanked by: Gianpaolo GallianYup. Any of those will do fine. You can always add the Mellotoon for the Yes covers.
Also look into the EZkeys MIDI packs for rock genre MIDI to expand. All the EZkeys sound libraries ship with the same basic MIDI library. Its versatile for sure, but you may want more rock variety.

My EZ Bass software will no load into pro tools using my Blue cat patchwork to load the VST . I am getting the error “please check that is a compatible 32-bit vst plug in
Operating system: OS X Yosemite (10.10)
EZbass is a 64-bit plugin only. There is no 32-bit version available.

Sorry if this has been dealt with before however, a...Sorry if this has been dealt with before however, a search didn’t throw up anything seemingly exactly the same as this. Is there a solution to SD3 randomly triggering a cymbal hit when there is no programming data relating to that hit whatsoever? I’ve been programming drums as long as it’s been a “thing” so I have been through everything I can think of and yet, here we are, random cymbal strikes happening with no data to cause them. What’s more, it suddenly appears, it was fine for weeks beforehand and then one day, it decides that, it will trigger a cymbal randomly for no apparent reason. It’s always a “double hit” as well, that is, it occurs when another part of the kit is hit, so far, either on a snare hit or a tom hit.

Are you using an edrum kit? Is it a crosstalk issue? What area you using to input the MIDI?
