EZD3 won’t replace EZD2 in your DAW projects so if you have old projects you want to open, I wouldn’t remove it from your system.
If you don’t or don’t care, you can go ahead and delete it.

No. There is no upgrade path for EZplayer to any other line of Toontrack products.

The Classic Rock EBX MIDI is not available as a standalone product.

Thanked by: Ben DickinsTaking a look at your account I don’t see any Toontrack Products registered. That would be step one to be able to download your purchase.
Please register your product first. Then you will be able to download, install, and authorize through the Toontrack Product Manager.

I use the multiple tracks to try out different arrangements. Or try 3 or 4 different verse/chorus groove feels. Or try one verse with a different kick or snare pattern

I really can’t think of anything else. I’m on PC. When I set the time sig to 6/8 in either standalone or in a DAW the Grid Editor changes to 6/8. Perhaps you’re not zoomed in enough to see the changes??

Thanked by: JimHave you set the time signature to 6/8 in the EZbass Track Settings (to the left of the EZbass Transport)?
EZbass will not automatically detect the time signature from your DAW.

Thanked by: JimOnce installed, the drum MIDI packs show in the EZD3 Grooves browser.
I’m not sure I follow what you are saying in the second part of your question. EZD3 can be used as a standalone or loaded in a DAW as a virtual instrument. The grooves appear in the EZD3 Grooves Browser on both (standalone and in DAW instrument version).

Thanked by: David LaingDrum MIDI packs are just MIDI grooves.
EZXs contain a drum sound library as well as MIDI grooves.

Please try rixa’s suggestion.
Manual remove the 70s EZX folder. Then from within EZD3 standalone, use the EZD3 Settings > Advanced > Restore MIDI database option.
Then try reinstalling the Rock 2 MIDI pack.

Thanked by: Jon Kurtz and Bear-Faced CowYou purchased the Seventies Rock EZX. As Shootie’s linked video explains clearly, there is no EZX named “70s EZX”. It’s a folder bug and can be manually removed.

No. EZD3 can follow a host. But host cannot follow a plugin.
