Please have a look at this video. The process is shown at the 5:00 minute mark.
Yes. You need the EZMix2 base product to use the EZMix2 Presets pkg you’ve purchased.

It depends which product you purchased.
There are 2 very similarly-named products, differing distinctly in price.
One product includes the EZMix2 base product. The one you’ve referenced does not.
This one does…http://www.toontrack.com/product/ezmix-2-complete-production-bundle/

If you want those great EZDrummer kit sounds, you need the MIDI to be played by EZDrummer…
You may have to learn how to insert virtual instruments within your particular DAW.
Perhaps this FAQ posted by Toontrack under the Support section of their website will help:

Is this plugin compatible with pro tools 11 aax format ?
Yes, it is. Please see the attached screenshot.
Are you running the latest version appropriate for your operating system?

which link?
i haven’t found one that doesn’t take me to the Vintage Upright.
just sayin’
did you apply all of the updates available for the Nashville EZX expansion
as well as all of those available for EZD2 (as appropriate for your operating system)??
I have no experience with Mixcraft 6, so I searched the forum for posts about it…
this one seemed the most helpful, but I encourage you to please search for others as well

how ’bout your new Mac? what OS?
what can you tell us about your sound card? make/model
how is it connected to the Mac?
how are you running EZMix? in standalone mode? or in a DAW/host?
sorry for delayed response
but i’m on the road at the moment.
you may be disappointed, surprised,
or embarrassed to hear:
1) i did this all in ‘standalone mode’ without the support of a DAW
2) with my mouse & the onscreen EZKeys keyboard
3) using EZKeys’ [Record] function,
4) overdubbing each note of the chord in a total of 4 passes
less than 3 minutes (including the screenshots)
connect a MiDI controller and you can record the chord in a single pass. in EZKeys or your DAW
in your DAW, i might even just use the piano-roll editor
