The one I refer to is the one located in the EZD2 interface, inside the Toontrack Solo. So it’s located below the drag-n-drop window, and between the signature, and song creator buttons.Tempo-button.PNG

Thanks for your quick reply John. It is limited to the solo 64 bit version.

Hello, Recently I had to Re- download EZD2. Once again this problem showed up. (Crash upon trying to adj. tempo). I followed the recommendations by John (above) But to no avail this time. Every time I try to adj. tempo with the tempo button, The file adds back the previously deleted MidiDb, MidiDB ect. files and crashes
. Could anyone direct me to a fix for this problem?

    Thank You,
    Ron

John, Thanks once again for your response. I’m running; Plug-in version 2.0.2 (build9590) (64 bit VST) stand alone host version, and build is the same.

    Henrik, Thanks for that.

    Hi John.

It seems to work properly outside the solo. I think I might have resolved the issue on my own. I first went into the mixer out-put section and selected the “stereo” option next I selected the “Drums” tab as I prefer that to be the window that greets me, when the program first opens ( My personal Preference). After making these two changes, I went to the menu drop-down and selected the project option, and chose (set as default project) now, it seems to be back as it was.. before all this. Why it had changed is beyond me! I’ve opened and closed solo now several times to test it, and all seems fine, so I’ll say it’s resolved. I have not fully tested it although.
John, Thanks for you reply…curious why you say opening EZ Drummer2 in Solo is not recommended? Isn’t that what Toontrack had in mind when they created Solo?

Yea, I can see your point. I’ll have to look into the Project file idea. Basically I would make the initial set-up then pick a name such as “Jam project” then open it every-time to achieve what I have been doing from the Taskbar?

Exellent! Sometimes the simplest things elude me! That is exactly what I will do, only… save it as a template. I think that would work better for me. Same difference?

    Thanks Scott.

Sometimes I just want to jam to some drums without going through the process; open Reaper wait>hit new project>wait> click insert virtual instrement on a new track>wait> select EZdrummer from the list, click insert new track>wait Click the record button on the new track >click the monitor button on same track > click the insert button (again same track) >wait select GuitarRig 5 from list. Finally… I’m ready to jam to whatever beat, and tone I choose! Quite a longer process than clicking the Solo Icon from the taskbar then the GuitarRig5 from the same TB.Laugh

No John not exactly. I can run the stand alone version of EZdrummer. But then when I try to run the stand alone version of Guitar Rig5 with both applications sharing the TonePort UX2 sound card, the application I open second will list the sound device as “not present”. But ..if I open the EZdrummer2 in Solo, then when I open the GR5
standalone application it will share the sound-card. I guess, as it also uses the ASIO TonePort driver (also) at this point. I do run the Reaper 64bit so no need to bridge.

Thanks John. Because of my particular sound-card installation (Line 6 ASIO TonePort UX2) I can only run both My Guitar Rig5, and EZdrums 2 outside of the DAW by using Toontrack Solo for the drums. No do I need the 32bit version?

    Thanks for your response.
