Yes I hope this aswell but I think it is unlikely. I will probably have to go back to using my other libraries that come with multiple articulations such as my Orange Tree and IK Modo libraries. I think the Toontrack libraries have a lot of potential but many of the libraries have limited articulations which stop me from using for bass tracks that require these different articulations within a piece.

Thanked by: Mark Styles and MarcinTBH, I don’t think they will update the existing ones, because once the session is recorded, it’s over, and replicating the exact same conditions for recording additional notes would be a huge effort. I’m also grieving a bit over the fact that some of these EBXes are missing articulations. I think all future releases should include slaps, vibratos, pick/finger, etc. ALL OF THEM basically, to keep this instrument consistent. Also, for the ability to swap the sound of the bass in a song without losing all the articulations, as it is now.
Having extra bow notes in Upright would be a super bonus. That’s quite common to play by mixing finger style and bowing. Maybe one day they will record a brand new upright bass with all of the bells and whistles 🙂
Totally agree! Perhaps there will be a Superior Bass?

Thanked by: MarcinGreat news! The Tight Preset sounds like a good starting point for what I’m looking for. Will definitely be picking this up 🙂

Here’s a clip of what I’m talking about
Ah thanks! This has made a difference! However, I’m still not quite getting the solid consistent punch as I was hoping for. Just tried SSD 5.5 Free version and this has a noticeable more solid kick punch even when the snare is playing?
Thanks Scott. I can’t believe that they didn’t sample an iconic bass such as the Fender Jazz with slap and pop articulations!??

Thanked by: MarcinSorry for resurrecting this old thread.
I’m currently mixing in 2.1 (pair of Neumann KH120’s + sub) and am wondering if there is any point for me to install parts 3 and 4? Do these parts make any difference to what I will hear in 2.1?
Thanks
Ok I’ll do a couple of more detailed clips with one played on the edge and the other on the bow. I’ll attach the audio and midi files for those.
Ok I’ve just installed the latest 2.1.3 update and this hasn’t made any difference. Bizarrely the second time I opened the Hi Hat the fully open position sounds different to the first time I opened it. I have attached an audio file to show what I’m talking about. I don’t get this happening with the other EZX’s I own so this appears to be isolated with the Americana EZX. I’ve tried adjusting the Hi Hat curve correction and this also doesn’t solve this.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I’m not using PM as my studio PC is not connected to the internet. However, I am using the latest versions of EzDrummer 2.0.2 and Americana EZX 1.5.2.
Thanks for the replies.
Apparently the RHH135 with the DTX502 module is capable of a full 127 points via midi but the onboard sounds only have four?
If this is true the. I would expect really smooth transition between samples throughout the hi hat pedals opening and closing?
Should the transition in samples as the hi hat pedal opens be smooth or quite jumpy? Apparently the DTX502 module sends a full 127 velocity layers via midi but I’m only hearing a few different samples that don’t blend into each other very smoothly.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Yes I’ve selected the Yamaha midi mapping in E-Drums. According to the DTX502 module I am playing the hi hat at full 127 velocity but it sounds different to when clicking on the GUI?
I’m going to try it out in Cubase to see what is happening.
