Try to click on it wants to highlight it (not right click), and try hitting delete while it is highlighted. I hope this works for you. Easy keys is so antiquated, that some of the most common tools require“Leftfield“ keystrokes. The workflow is painfully awkward in Easy keys 2.
Please add “Solo” as a song part, or allow us to create our own part name for uncommon sections.
Thank you for responding, and actually that is pretty good idea! I’ve been outputting each instrument to their own discreet tracks in Cubase, then assigning effects, and subgrouping them back to one fader. I had just thought how nice it would be to do everything in the SD3 mixer (which is very impressive in its own right). Just hoping for faster “flow”.
Again, thank you Jose.
When I use Superior Drummer Song Creator, about half of the time, I get verse, chorus, and bridge parts that aren’t even CLOSE the the original midi I use as the “source”. I check to see if maybe some filter might be sending me parts the crazy groves; e.g., I have a very basic straight 8 part with half note kick (1&3), snare (on the 2&4) hi hat doing straight 8th notes, but it gives me (for the chorus a punk rock beat with eighth note kick drum! Quarter note crash cymbal and snare. Even the bridge choices, as well as the other verse sections have nothing to do with my source file. It happens about 50 – 60% of the time (always something different and drastic.
The times that it works, it works great, and all of the parts are uniform and relative. Anyone know what I’m missing?
Wow, same wavelength! I was trying to remember that feature when writing that post, but it was 2am and I was BEAT. Thanks BezO!
I would be thrilled to see EZkeys have the same “shell GUI” as SD3, and EZBass. Something similar to the Tap To Find, and most definitely, a grid editor with the ability to humanize some of the midi files to get rid of the “stiffness”. Lastly, so many of the “songs” start with whole notes for the first level, and in the next level up, it’s already WAY too busy arpeggiating, instead of having some chord comps that fit into a groove better. Having said that, let me also say the I am one of your biggest purchasers, and LOVER of all of these products. My clients are stunned when I show them where my piano and drums (and now bass) all come from. REALLY looking forward to this update.
No, it’s the Euphonix MC Transport. I plugged it into Cubase and opened the “List Editor” to see all incoming midi information, and it didn’t trigger anything. I also have a Presonus Faderport 2, and it was the same, no CC information.
Yes! jumping one bar at a time would be really helpful. Here’s the issue from my perspective; working in any DAW, we all FF, and REW as part of our normal workflow, and we do this with assigned key, or with our jog wheel (my preference), but as we begin to work in EZ Bass, Key, or SD3, the typical DAW workflow is disrupted for reviewing changes, or “hunting for a trouble spot”, or any normal reason for FF/REW, by having to click in “not very wide” lane in the song track. It may not sound like too big of a deal, but I have a “working studio”, and I am in here most of the day, and at night I’m on my laptop in bed doing edits, and that little bit of difference in flow really adds up. Another example is in EZKeys. In a DAW, if you want to delete something, it’s DEL, or another simple key, but with EZKeys, to delete a section, it’s a right click, and scroll to “remove” and click again. It may not seem like much, but it adds up throughout the day, and especially when having to keep “mentally changing gears” going back and forth from the DAW to EZkeys. Anything that keeps the flows similar to on another is REALLY helpful, and you guys are really great about it, with the exception of the transport familiarity of FF/REW. Again, I use this stuff daily, and about 1/3 of my client base is now using EZKeys for their songwriting after seeing it in action. Your whole line is a Godsend for so many of us, Thank you again,
Raynaldo
I can’t wait to hear the (very dependably) high quality sampled basses, and the groove tracks. I’m hoping for an AI approach where the ezbass can be be set to respond to a “specified” instrument, or groove in the track. We’ll see….
Yes, when I initially click on the pad, I get the “default sound”, but clicking the arrow beneath opens a separate window (Details) with optional articulations. I prefer these articulations, so I tried to play the note numbers it said they were assigned to, but they eithr did not play, or didn’t sound the same as when clicked on in that little box. Can I make these the defaults somehow (for shaker as well as tambourine)? The articulations have a longer, more natural sounding decay.
Thanks for the help! I just bought the midi pack bundle, (licenses onl), so that gives me better direction. Thanks again…
This is a rough draft, but it’s a groove where the hi hat or shaker is playing 16th note subdivisions, and other percussion instruments have sparse roles….hope that helps. It’s a cool 70s style R&B feel.
