    Hello,

I’m still struggling with how to do these things.  Please bear with me.

    1. “I make a patch on each Handsonic where I make all local sounds to be off.” I’m in the User Kit area of HandSonic.  But, how do you make all local sounds off?
    2. “Assign MIDI notes to each pad.”  How do you assign MIDI notes to each pad?
    3. “Make sure that SD3 is receiving the MDI from your Handsonic device(s) in Audio/MIDI settings of SD3. SD3 receives the MIDI and plays the sounds.”  How and where do you check this?

I already wrote Roland and their response was to install the driver which I already did and:

“After you have the drivers installed, the HPD-20 will appear as a selectable MIDI (or audio) device within the software.
You can then match the MIDI notes for each of the pads to the SD3 note map.
Handsonic HPD-20: Assigning MIDI Note Numbers to the Pads

HPD-20: Default MIDI Note Number Map

Note that by default, the HPD-20 is on MIDI Channel 10, so you’ll want to make sure this channel is set the same in SD3.”

    Please advise.  Thanks again!

I tried doing what you suggested.  What happens is that after removing an element within Edit Play Styles, when I play the clips back in the Superior timeline the element that I removed is gone.  However, when I play the same clips back in my DAW or drag them into my DAW, the removed element returns.  So, the removal only seems to be working when played back in the timeline alone.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

I’ve been a long time user of EZ Drummer 2 and just upgraded to Superior Drummer 3.  The Toontrack products are great to use.  My background is in keyboards and not drumming.  So, the Toontrack products are very helpful in my DAW composition work.

It seems as if EZ Drummer and Superior Drummer are understandably designed specifically for Western “drumming”.  While I can appreciate good drumming, I am just as interested in good percussion.  I’m not a drumming expert by any means, but it seems as if “drumming” is largely the Western manifestation of trap sets and rock or contemporary music.  While “percussion” is more of a global manifestation of instruments and “world music.”

Toontrack has Latin Percussion EZX and Orchestral Percussion.  I would certainly be interested in more percussion midi and expansion packs.  Please consider this a vote of support to what was suggested above and a general vote for more percussion products – especially a World Music Percussion pack.  I think it could only help round out an excellent Toontrack set of products.
