I don’t know how the TD-12 works in this respect. I have an Akai MPK49 keyboard right now and it offers two ways of sending this information. One is to send just Program Change, i.e. a single number. The other is to do both Program Change and Bank Select at the same time, i.e. three numbers: ProgramChange, BankMSB and BankLSB. (EZ2 does not care
about the LSB.) I have another MIDI controller that sends Program Change and Bank Select separately and there is no choice of sending them at the same time.
I have 47 EZXs installed. To choose my 7th User Preset I have to send a Program Change of 6 (or 7, if that is how your controller handles the numbers). But before I do that I have to make sure that EZdrummer knows that I am using the user presets and I do that by sending a Bank Select of 47 or by selecting any user preset by hand. If I want to use that second method of the MPK49 then I have to make sure that I send the Bank Select 47 every time.
Perhaps your TD-12 works like my second option but always sets the Bank to 0.

The drums from Claustrophobic sounds like the “Original Mix” preset when inserted into other libs.

Ahem, well, I have lots of more options in that menu. Maybe you are not updated to the latest verion of SD3. There was a large addition of mapping presets in the 3.1 update.

You go to the Settings>MIDI-In/E-drum tab. There you choose the preset Toontrack>Superior Drummer 1.

You can also adjust the Velocity Curve for individual Articulations. It would probably sound a bit more realistic.

Thanked by: chaosphere_1Just as Henrik wrote, this is caused by that preset using the OH Cond instead of the OH Dyn, which is the dedicated close mic for the cymbals. When you change to a cymbal from another library, which does not have the OH Cond, its OH gets assigned to the OH Dyn since that is the proper close mic for that instrument. It just so happens that this preset has turned off the volume for OH Dyn. What you need to do is to go to Route Instrument Microphones for your cymbal and reassign its OH to OH Cond. You may need to do the same thing for the Ambience mic too.
The Cymbal 3 makes no sound even when you load a cymbal from S3 Core because although this preset uses the OH Cond it hasn’t specified that that mic should be used for that empty position. That is an oversight in the preset making.

Thanked by: chaosphere_1You can set up a CC-controlled split in the E-drum tab. I don’t know whether any of the presets do that for you.
I believe cymbals all send positional sensing data as CC17 and you can have more than one in your kit. That’s why our support for positional sensing of cymbals differs from that of the snare.

Thanked by: Kurt F… having the multi in to DAW gives you more automation options.
That is true for SD2 but not for SD3. SD3 can be automated in just about all conceivable way.

Thanked by: Henrik EkblomThat error message means just what it says. It is not usually mysterious at all. The typical reasons are that you don’t have write access to that folder or that the device is full. That would seem to not be the case for you, since you succeed i bouncing the mics.
When bouncing outputs there is a first stage when the mics are bounced as intermediate files. These files are removed once the bounce is finished. You may want to view the folder with the file browser during the bounce to see if those intermediate files are created at all.
And, as John wrote, sending in the .sd3p-file would give us a chance to see if we can replicate the problem and solve it.

1. We follow the Cubase/VST standard, i.e. Ctrl-click to reset.
2. EZX Latin Percussion does that.

Thanked by: Lee KruegerSince 3.1 (i.e. Feb 2018) you can browse for the EZX directory in Settings>Library if it is missing.
So if you want move that directory, just move it. Then start SD3 and browser for the new location.
Then SD3 will prompt you to restart and your done.

Thank You Henrik
I went to drums and couldnt find load parts. Then to mixr and same thing. Could you please be be more specific that “small Button”_
Henrik is talking about the main presets that are actually called “Drums and Mixer Presets”. On the right hand side of each preset entry you find a small menu that allows you to choose “Select Parts”.

And if I add that sample to a cymbal and use the Mute Tail Trigger option, can it stop if chocked ?
If, by that, you mean that you sacrifice one of your e-drum cymbals to start and stop your imported sample then, yes, that would work. You enable the envelope for your imported MP3 and set it to react to Aftertouch.

Thanked by: chaosphere_1Note that bleed is part of the drums and not of the mixer.

Thanked by: chaosphere_1There are two MIDI mappings in SD3.
1. Articulations can have MIDI notes assigned to them. This mapping is part of the “Drums and Mixer Presets”. You would use it when you Add new Instruments and assign MIDI notes to their articulations. Think of this as adjusting the sounds to the MIDI in the Grooves browser and on the Song Track inside SD3, we call this GM-Extended.
E.g. let’s say you want to add a couple of toms, then these will need to have some MIDI notes assigned. Or let’s say you want to make a “christmas kit” and so you add som Bells and then kidnap various MIDI notes from other instruments so that they play Bells instead.
2. Incomming MIDI can be transformed to suit various MIDI sources. These sources can be things like e-drums and keyboards or just MIDI from other vendors. You find this (rather mysteriously) in Settings>MIDI In/E-drums. You map the incomming MIDI notes from your Atom so that they conform to the MIDI used inside SD3, GM-Extended. Then you save this mapping as a preset and you make use of it whenever you use your Atom.
Both MIDI mappings are part of a project savefile, the total state of SD3.
