Hi. I have a 64-bit PC and have EZdrummer 2&3 installed in the 64 and 32-bit versions, can I safely uninstall the 32-bit versions, they appear to be draining my CPU?
Thanks, Nigel
I have purchased and downloaded EZ Drummer 3 upgrade from 2 and it was placed in my product manager file but once installed it says that the core library is damaged and I must reinstall EZ3 and presumably the core library. How do I do this?
Thank You,
Nigel Moore
Hello John.
Thanks for your help I’ll give it a go, my version of EZ Dummer 2 is one of the earliest but hopefully it will be OK.
Thanks once again,
Nigel.
Sorry this is not a reply but a question, I can’t work out how to make a new post. When I send EZ drummer 2’s stereo tracks, toms. overheads, ambiance and reverb over in to a pro tools 10 session they do not come out in proper stereo, The two stereo channels show exactly the same wave pattern so it’s dual mono. I have by chance recorded the stereo channels in true stereo once and the two wave forms are plainly different and a true stereo sound produced is really noticable enhancing the drums sound. Do I need to fix this in EZ drummer 2 or is a Pro Tools problem, I cannot find a way to repeat the process that made the real stereo tracks?
Thank You,
Nigel Moore.
Thanks Scott.
Will I lose EZD2 by downloading and installing Pop/Rock EZX? Like I said I only want the midi files for fills etc.
I have been able isolated the mixer channels but like I said in the overheads channel I cannot find a way to switch between full kit and purely cymbals. If this is not my mistake it might be idea to include this in any upgrades, it’s pain having to mute the other drums in my pro tools midi to get the cymbals on to their own audio track.
Nigel.
Hi, I like some of the fills in EZ 1 and would like to use them in EZ 2. Can I download the midi files in EZ 1 and transfer them into EZ 2?
One more question. Is it possible to isolate the cymbals in the mixing section in EZ 2? In EZ 1 you could switch the overheads to pick up cymbals only or the full kit. At the moment in EZ 2 I have to mute all other drums in the midi track to record the cymbals to their own audio track.
Thanks, Nigel
Hello Henrick. If I copy the ride and move to the area where I want to paste it and right click I find paste appears, not paste/ride and if I use left or right click the ride is pasted but still with the loss of the rest of the drums in that section. Am I doing it wrong?
Thanks,
Nigel.
Hi John.
Will EZ drummer 1 work in the 64 bit environment of PT 11-12? I really like the Slingerland snare.
Thanks,
Nigel
Hi John.
The Version of Pro Tools is 10.3.1 with a 32 bit limit, I presume. The HW Buffer Size is 1024. Host Processors 4. No delay compression applied. CPU usage 85% and the plug in streaming buffer size set at level 2.
I have just ordered an M Box Pro with PT 10, 11, and 12 upgrade. Once this is up and running will my existing EZ 2 instillation automatically work in the PT 11 environment which is a 64 bit application, and if download EZ1 again will this work in the 64 bit environment.
Thanks,
Nigel Moore.

A few things.
First, as you upgraded from EZD1 to EZD2, you have free access to the Pop/Rock EZX in your account. This is the same Pop/Rock library from EZD1 including all of the MIDI. Download, unzip, and install it. Then authorize it and you’ll have EZD1 (sounds and MIDI) within EZD2.
Second, you can drag MIDI into Pro Tools and edit them. If you want ‘just a fill’, drag a ‘fill’ groove and cut out the beginning so you just have the fill. I personally find the lead-ins to fills much more natural sounding. But, like I said, you can easily edit the lead-in out or use the MIDI from EZD1. You can even use the Song Track in EZD2 to drag a groove to from the Browser, edit the lead-ins out, use the Edit Play Style to make it even more simple and drag it back to the Browser into you own Favorites folder.
Thanks Scott.
I will download EZ 1 as suggested. I’m very impressed with the drum sounds and choice in EZ 2 and I’m working on the rest but the pure simplicity of working in EZ 1 can’t be beat in my mind.
Thanks Scott I’ll try an update.
I can drag and drop but unlike EZ 1 I can’t find beats or fills which don’t have stuff added at the beginning or end, eg I can’t even find the simple’st snare roll 1234 without a beat preceeding it or comming in after making editing more awkward than in EZ 1, maybe it’s because everythings wrapped up in pre designed verses and choruses but EZ 2 appears to have less drum beats and fills than EZ 1, hopefully I’m mistaken and I’ll master it.
Is it possible to download EZ 1 again if I can’t get on with 2.
Sorry I don’t know if I’m running Pro Tools with windows a admistrator.
Thanks,
Nigel.
