The only way I know is to drag the MIDI from EZD to the GGD track in Reaper. File – > Save the EZD project first.
I’ve listened to the cymbals in a number of expansions. Bright Room rides don’t seem to be any quieter than rides in other rooms. Rides are quieter than other cymbals. An ambience mic is further away from the kit than overheads are. That would make it harder for that mic to pick up a ride, making it even quieter. Rides are heavier than crashes, meaning that it takes a harder hit to get the same volume. Rides lack the higher frequencies, making their perceived volume lower still.
Have you looked at the mapping? Settings – > E-Drums MIDI in – > Mapping. Is it the same in Live as in standalone?
MIDI is notes only, not sounds. It’s like sheet music. The expansion packs have the sounds. Singer-songwriter expansion has brushes, and is in the Black Friday sale until 9.00 CET Dec. 2. Jazz and Americana also have brushes.
