Bandmate is for making a drum to track to go with another instrument track, not for copying a drum track.

Put the MIDI into EZDrummer through File menu. Now open Grid Editor. Select the ‘wrong’ drum notes and drag them to the drum you want them on.

Have you tried youtube.com/Shootie school yet?

Fair enough.  I just figured if it was smart enough to play with a guitar track, it would be able to play with a drum track.  🙂  I’ll keep working on it and try MIDI again. IU was sold on the stupidly easy aspect of this by a couple people and I am not finding it that easy and I have years of experience with physical drum machine, mixing and recording.  Thanks for your input!

For best results with Bandmate and Audio files, use cut sections in the same tempo as you are working; e.g. import an 8 Bar ‘verse’ of a guitar/bass guitar with clean in and out points that loops nice.

If you need to trim/align the audio so that the first beat of the imported audio starts at the first beat of bar 1 (or 0); trimming is done by clicking and dragging the ends of the imported idea on the timeline. Snap-to-Grid is turned on by default, but if your source audio or MIDI is not aligned to the grid, you can turn it off with the button under the source track volume slider so that you can trim it with more accuracy.
