Click Follow Host, at the bottom of the EZD window within your DAW. That will make it sync.

Is the MIDI a Toontrack MIDI? Is the jazz kit loaded? You can move the notes from the bell to the kick, in Grid Editor. Can you show us a screenshot?

If I remember rightly, put EZD3 into your shopping trolley and see what upgrade deal it gives you. You can see if you have the latest you’ve paid for, by looking in Product Manager.

Keep the grooves in EZD. That should stop the speed being changed.

Chokes aren’t mapped in EZD 3. Have you tried the Learn button? You could try setting your kit to do a Mute Hit instead of the choke.
