I came to the TT site to send in a support request to update EZK. But after reading this thread…..

EZK needs an updated UI. It needs the Grid Editor tab that EZB and EZD3 have. It needs the Add Track feature found in EZB and EZD3. Those are the minimum.

It doesn’t need a “Band Mate” feature. Nor a “Tap to Find” feature.

Ain’t asking for much really.

Yes Phil, this is a good suggestion. It would solve the problem I am having now. Every song I am working on gets the low C and D notes played on the B string, instead of the A string like I want. I have to manually move all the notes in the Grid Editor.

I was wanting to request that EZB have a feature that would allow it to only use four strings, like old school basses. But Phil’s idea would serve the same purpose.

From what I have learned through trial and error, when you start a new trk, is also starts a new song trk. This way you can try different things out and compare. What I haven’t found out yet is the ability to copy/paste midi blocks from one trk to another.

Have to agree with everyone here.

ToonTrack, you knocked it out the park Baby!! Great job. : )

It’s still got some bugs to flush out, and I am sure that they will get fixed. But great product.

The UI is well thought out. The more I use it the more I begin to see why it was done the way it is.

This went well. Did as the instructions told me to do ( i had upgraded from EZD1 to 2) and it went without any trouble.

Or, were you asking what would happen when you reach 4 out of 4 total authorization? In that case, nothing would happen until you want to authorize for a 5th time and then you would follow the FAQ or my summation of the FAQ above.

Yes that’s the question!! And that’s what I figured from your response. Till I get to that point, I will not fret about it!!

All I really wanted to know would I still be able to use the software after I reached my max of 4 out of 4 total authorizations. And I see that there is. I may be up to SD by then!! But ezd is just so ez!!

Thanks for the reply Scott. I saw this when I looked through the FAQ. But it doesn’t really say what happens when you run out of Total Authorizations. Which is what I was asking.

But from your reply and link to the same article, I can assume that when I have no Total Authorizations, I will have to contact support in this matter.

But with Toontracks Pro you could do what you need to do. In fact for some things it’s much better than a step sequencer.
