I want to make sure I’m on the same page here. So, I’m working with a client who wants MIDI but isn’t using SD or EZD. I was going to send the MIDI file with the note info provided with the library, BUT I’ve been using a custom preset for my kit. For the client to get the correct info, I need to disable the preset before exporting, right?

Thanked by: nickfoxkentishmanEither a rug or carpet will help. I have the Roland rug, and with the KD-10 kick, it doesn’t move as the velcro underneath makes sure it doesn’t budge. I’ve a heavy foot, and it’s never moved once.
kentishmanThis has been a problem from day one for me with the same setup. I’ve made them aware, FWIW.
kentishmanjust a heads up that the new Hitmaker SDX has two 9000 kits in there (regular and concert toms). It might be a good place to start.

Thanked by: Gary JohnsonkentishmanProfessionally speaking, I’ve everything I need in SD3 – I’m my own humanize button, and I’ve no need for the bandmate feature. However, they’re still getting new libraries (including a new one later this month), and the Padgham one was jaw-droppingly good, so it’s not been let to hang in any shape or form. So be patient and enjoy both for the time being. Toontrack rarely announces things this far out, so their business methods shouldn’t be surprising at this point.

kentishmanTake a close look at the image posted. The elements are greyed out, but octobans and a gong drum are in there!
kentishmanFor what it’s worth Music City gets a lot of use here, but my only concern would be that there might be some overlap with this new set (contemporary clean-sounding kits if they’re going the Sting/Vinnie route on a kit). Either way it’s a nice dilemma to have!
