You can use tracker to create midi from audio. It only works to certain degrees though. Try it and see. You could also mix the sounds in with the audio.

It sounds like sd3 is receiving the notes that haven’t been changed. This is more to do with your midi setup than SD3. SD3 can’t choose to ignore or not change. It will see exactly what it is sent via midi. I think you would be better to cut out the middle and just use sd3 midi mapping function. I play from roland edrums and do it that way. SD3 is easily flexible enough to do this.

Go into edrum settings and assign any note to any drum component you want and save as a midi preset. There are videos out there that show you how to do this. SD3 will play whatever sound has the right note assigned to it.

Well the midi will play the bass but it would be always the same notes. I don’t see a simple way of doing this. It would be far easier to just do your own bass lines. They are not really compatible. It’s like asking it to play a piano. One is just sounds the other is tuned notes.

It works really well. I use it with the three digital pads. The snare is great with sd3 as the side stick, rimshot work great as well as ps. I loaded the preset and then modified for my own needs as I use all trigger inputs. Also different drum maps depending on the pack I’m using.

Cc4 is not a note. It’s a continuous controller. If you look in Cubase at bottom left in the piano roll you can filter for cc4 (foot) and you should see it. If not then it is being filtered out. Cubase does not filter cc4 by default.

I don’t think that will work. In Cubase (any version) you would have to route the midi into sd3. Just playing a midi in Cubase doesn’t do that. If the track you are playing midi from is a vsti and has midi out capability then it would be possible. I just record all my midi in Cubase and use Cubase drum maps. Very simple and Cubase drum editor is very powerful. Make sure you are not changing note numbers on sd3 main page. Always use the edrum page to do this.

It should just work if you save as default when you have the kit you want open. It does with mine.

Correct you can’t. If you are playing with edrums you should only change midi note numbers in the edrum settings and not on the main page. I have quite a few different edrum maps for different kits. Also that flexibility allows you to create all sorts of interesting kits.

It is what it is. Yes it could be better but please try and avoid the bickering over details and agree to disagree.

Have you tried the flstudio forum as this is fine in Cubase so it has to be a problem with fl midi setup. SD3 just works with what the host sends it from midi.

Like I mentioned in the vdrum forum. Yes you do have to make different midi presets. I have quite a few. It’s not a big deal switching.
