Hi Scott, Yes that works but I’ve posted earlier that recording from DAW to the EZ interface always misses the first beat/note. In Ableton you would have to drag the clip to the Arrange and set the time a little earlier to get the full recording in EZ. I hope they can fix this in an update.. It also misses the first beat in Logic

Same here… My Pop Rock works fine and it’s the latest version (1.5.2) but my account says “Unauthorized”. I had EZ and SPD and also upgraded to EZ2. I guess the flaw lies here and is not being updated/recognized to “Authorized” This should be fixed as it can become confusing in the future.

When starting from bar 1, it does not record the first hit. Yes, starting playback a bar early works, but in Ableton this is very much a pain in the foot. You have to add measures to the beginning of the clip or bring it into Arrange. Unfortunately, Live does not allow drag and drop into EZ. You have to export. Hopefully this can be fixed..

Henrick, yes that works but for some reason it always misses recording the first beat. Any ideas? (Ableton) I just tried this in Logic which also misses recording the first beat.

I understand and the feature would be welcome. But lets face it, EZ2 is not a DAW. Your major edits should take place there. You don’t have these features in SP2 either.

Why not just use your DAWs PR?

Thank you very much John. So there is no profile tab in any of the forum menus, just a URL .. Thanks again…

To add to that, as John mentions, if you split your groove where necessary you can then also adjust the volume of the hits you are wanting to edit.

    Hi lyovino

You having any trouble with EZ Drummer 2 choking notes due to the Aftertouch? I cant manage to make Push behave…

Any tips would be greatly appreciated..

To be honest I haven’t noticed or had any issues at all with aftertouch.. are you saying that the notes are getting cut-off? On Push’s User screen I have my Pad Threshold set at “9” and the Velocity Curve to “3”. You may want to check this because if the Threshold is set to high on the plus (+) side it will shorten the hit of your notes. This goes for the Curve also. There is a sweet spot for the Curve and Threshold..

I don’t know what DAW you use but I am using Push and Ableton and having a blast with EZ2! If it is set up correctly you can drop your edited EZ clips right into a clip slot and then vey easily if desired, add to what you already have created in EZ2, (which is killer in itself.) If you Group EZ to a Drum Rack and select “ALL” you now have 16 lit pads assigned and ready to go. Push and EZ2 or SPD2 work very well together. Of course there are other options..

Same here, Ableton crashes every time. Here’s what I did for the workaround… First set your DAW to 44.1, then set up your multi out selections and save your kit. Now switch back to 48. I haven’t experienced any crashes upon reopening my DAW at 48 and selecting the kit. For now all seems to be okay but patiently waiting for the 2.0.1 update…

Yes Scott, you were correct. Please note though, that it wasn’t that way after first opening which led me to believe something happened afterwards. Thanks for your help. By the way, is there any way I can modify my signature in my Profile? I can’t find any menu for it.

Thanks Erik, but immediately after upgrading to EZ2 from EZ they were listed individually in the Browser tab. You can confirm this also by watching some of the EZ2 videos. Also as I mentioned above the midi grooves within seem to be less.

update: I just watched a MacPro video and you are correct they are listed as one Library combined. Strange, because they were individual after the upgrade. Is there anyway to confirm that all the grooves are present within? Thank you Erik!
