Hi,
I also am using spark Le and want to use it as a controller for sd3.
is using ezpp mapping wraps still required now that we are on sd3?
any tips on mapping for spark would be appreciated too!
thanks
This post was a year ago, do we have this feature yet?
i tried to do it today and found the same problem. We really need the ability to at least add genre to user and 3rd party midi.
currently they all come up as genre “Any”, not very helpful.
thanks.
Hi Bob.
Did your request for the Bars offset ever get implemented? I totally agree with you and its quite obvious, and simple what you are asking for. I don’t understand why there was so much resistance, or telling you how you should go about setting up your timeline. I want this feature too (For SD3) as I like my first verse chord to start on beat 1 bar 1, and prefer negative bar count in, rather than starting on Bar 3 in SD3. It makes it easier to count and edit when doing even bars, verses, communicating with musicians as to which bar the chorus is etc..

Thanked by: FourchimneyIm also interested to know some of this.
specifically can i export/import or convert my EZD2 projects to SD3? even if its just the midi track would be great!
A request, also regarding the “search for instrument”, can user made instruments please be added to the search so they can be easily selected for stacking also.
Thanks
Luke
I’ll just post the problem here.
In short when i drag midi from the user midi browser onto the timeline track it contains no midi, just a blank clip.
the long answer and procedure,
Im importing midi from Pro tools that was exported to my midi folder. it was originally ezdrummer midi but i modified it in Pro tools and now want to bring it back. (The record method is not accurate enough, theres been some strange unwanted quantizing and its offset late when compared to the original)
Anyway, so i now have a new midi file on the timeline, it plays fine. I cut it into parts, trim off excess etc. Then i drop then into a user folder in the browser. From there they also play as normal. Now when i drag them back in they contain no midi, completely blank.
If i drag the clips all together as a song then the first clip has midi and the following do not.
Also strange is that if i use tap 2 find with the same midi i can drag it out from the tap to find little midi box onto the track and its there again.
And finally if i re-import the midi from the user midi folder in the mac finder it will also bring it back.
But this all seems really random and has cost me so much time to figure out a reliable way of knowing my midi is safe.
Thanks

Ok thanks, i look forward to that.
I just found a bug that i feel important to report. where should i do that?
Cheers
Luke
id like to see this too. we have such nice big screens and yet im squinting to read my midi files names and having to scroll through the EZ players columns.
i did find an octave shifter in the demo.
in 2 places actually.
one was in the tuning panel on the piano, which i take it is global, and the other is if you right click on a midi file once its in your timeline, you’ll see a octave control for that file
just speaking from memory so dont mark my words…
i dont see that button. the demo says version 1.0.1
So are you saying that theres a new version that can allow you to audition/replace the midi patterns and retain the chords established?
i downloaded the demo today. i wonder why its old? like i said that was a deal breaker. so if thats fixed then i will buy it.
