‘I can click an arrow on any of the individual instruments in the kit, and then click the Kit button in the little dialog that pops up’.

OK. Now this makes sense. To be very clear (for those like me who did not read this part of the manual), you choose the various factory-defined kits by right-clicking any kit piece. In the box that pops up, on the BOTTOM RIGHT, you will see the word “kit” with an arrow pointing down underneath it. left click the arrow and you kit a drop down menu that allows you to change the entire kit to any of the Toontrack-defined kit presets.

Selecting the kit presets from a kit piece menu is a 2 click operation. Once you know how to do it, it really isn’t that uneazy.

Well, it’s not uneazy, but its a pain in the rear nonetheless. The old kit presets from EZ drummer 1 should be there. I’m dumbfounded that they aren’t. Fortunately, I had Superior Drummer as well and I can still load the kits as intended by the llibrary programmers within that program. I’m going through the rather boring task of recreating them in EZdrummer2 and saving them as user presets.

To me, this seems like a baffling omission to what otherwise might be the best drum program ever. (And no, this should not be a non-starter for those interested in buying or upgrading. This program is a no-brainer, even with the one complaint that I’m voicing here.)
