Should mention that the mapping is all set up for V-Drums, so you may want to reset all that. Let me know what you think of the presets! Think I did a decent job with Bonham and Purdie at least. 🙂
Love Bonham Big, that bass drum shakes the room! Thank you again
Yeah awesome, thank you!

I have another problem though, someone shared some .s20 presets, see image below, now im not sure if these are combined presets but they are not showing in SD3? I have copied the files to the relevant library folder and i cant see the SD2 user preset menu in SD3?
I also looked at the Akai MPC range but apparently the new ones lack the ‘feel’ of the old ones, build quality issues as well. The ATOM is well made, bus powered and pretty versatile. You should check youTube for some reviews of it in action and then try one in store if possible. The great thing about pad controllers, if you can find a store with multiple controllers installed, you can try each one and you will know straight away which one feels right.
On the right side of the ATOM is a quick setup button, when held down it lets you change pressure, sensitivity and aftertouch quickly, i love that feature! Also has note repeat options for some great roll effects.
That’s my experience with it, i’m so pleased with it, easy to use and setup and does it’s job admirably, good luck with your choices, as there is sooo many.

Thanked by: topgoonerI’m using the Presonus Atom pad which i really like, probably not the best pad controller regarding options but it suits my needs, has quite a few sensitivity options and works really well as a DAW controller. 16 pads plus a shift+bank option which covers a large range of SD3 drum sounds.

Thanked by: topgoonerIf one would purchase and install the New York vol 1 sdx would this fix the problem of the missing sound library and make the other sdx expansions that use that library operate correctly?
Yes, that’s what i did when it was on sale.

Thanked by: JohnWhat machine spec, if i may ask? For me an SSD was incredible, the difference in loading speed, wow!
ok, not too sure on that, i think so but the actual SD3 install minus the sound files which you have did you say? is about about 230mb i think. Any issues, post back to this thread ok.

Thanked by: sixfingerDepending on whether you install to internal or external hd/ssd, the easiest way is to use the Product Manger. Navigate to your SDX files in product manager, installation info, circled below. Edit the path to where your sdx files are installed. For example, mine are in D:/Toontrack, and external 1TB SSD. In SD3, goto settings, libraries – see 2nd pic below
Can’t wait to buy this, just enough room on my external ssd, will wait for the sales though if i can hold out. Would love to hear opinions on it for those that have purchased it already
lol yeah, i know what you mean! Q2 for the Orchestral one so not too long to wait.
Interestingly, if you look at the screenshot of the EZbass interface, it looks similar to the SD3 interface, grooves, grid editor, tracker, i didnt notice that at first but wow, i reckon it looks awesome.
