Salut,
Cordialement,
John

Hi Harryo 1,
Jack’s right, the manual is the right place to understand it.
To get you started I attach an example, which took me less than a minute to set up.
Which you also will be able to do and adjust it to fit your song. DAW and the library used, after that visit to the manual.
Or you can check out a video on YouTube, there are plenty but here’s one from PreSonus:

Hi,
I am convinced there is a strategy in place for such a highly unlikely event. Besides, your CD or thumb drive could get damaged. But you could always make sure to download the latest software now and then to keep current backups if it’s a serious concern.

I suggest you open the session in Rosetta mode and create a duplicate track with EZdrummer 3 where you check all settings in the plug-in on the EZdrummer 2 track and mimic them on the EZdrummer 3 track.

Hi Shootie,
in general, I would say that Send / Return Buses are Solo Safe in SD3 and not in EZD3 but I can see/hear some inconsistency when switching between different EZX:s in both SD3 and SD3. Could be by design but I will ask my colleagues.

Hi,
the discontinued EZdrummer 2 is not Apple Silicon Native, so it will only function if Pro Tools is started in Rosetta mode.
If you insert EZdrummer 3 on an Instrument Track where EZdrummer 2 was previously inserted, you need to enable the Instruments view in the Pro Tools Mixer so you may set the MIDI Output (at the very top of the mixer channel in PT) of the Instrument Track to EZdrummer 3 instead.
When copying MIDI from one track to another, I tend to just Cmd+A on the source track the Copy, then ‘p’ and/or ‘;’ to move the selection up or down to the destination track before Pasting. That way I can be sure there is no manual error when pasting, causing the timing to be different.
Also, if you have RealTime Properties (such as e.g. Quantize) Enabled on the Source Track, copying MIDI will not automatically Enable those Real-Time Properties on the destination track.

John

Thanked by: BradYes, the TD-27 sends aftertouch for the hihat touch choke. Can you elaborate on how to achieve it? I tried to see how the ride choke was triggered when touched but I don’t see anything special on the midi processed by SD3.
I select the Hi-Hat, Enable the Envelope and Offset Property Box, select the ‘Release’, change Trigger to ‘Aftertouch’ then adjust Release Time and Slope to taste.
Note that I haven’t tried this in an actual playing scenario, so I don’t know if you have to e.g. Disable the Envelope for the Closed Pedal. I am not sure exactly what can trigger the Aftertouch sent.

OK,
if you start a new Project, does EZkeys and EZbass appear and behave as expected?

Hi,
this is what it looks like for me when loading your Project:

So while EZkeys 2 takes longer time to load than EZbass and EZdrummer 3, it’s still pretty fast given that library samples are loaded into RAM.
If you have fewer instances of the plug-ins active in your project, it should load faster but it’s still a big difference between our systems.
I would have to ask my colleagues for more input here.

Hi,
which preset and snare are we talking about?
Could it be that the main snare has got a stacked sound?

The “Choke/Mute Trigger” property box doesn’t appear for the hihat since it requires a mute tail articulation
Understood – SD development team – how about adding this so us VH14 owners can use this feature?
Reply To: Roland VH14 mute not working version: 3.3.6
Operating system: macOS Monterey (12)
Hi,
I am not in the Development team but I would be surprised if Mute Tails crossfades could be added the same way for Hi-Hats as they work for Cymbals, since that would require them being recorded. The Hi-Hat transmuting works by using the CC data from the foot controller to control the openness but all those stages are recorded.
That’s why I suggested using Aftertouch for the Envelope release, provided your HH controller and module sends this when you hand choke it.

Thanked by: Bear-Faced CowHi,
good to hear that your products show up now.
The EZkeys2 Core Library “only” contains the ‘EZkeys 2 Session Grand’ library, the other libraries have their own installers.
Did you install the Singer-Songwriter EKX while the EZkeys 2 app was open the first time?
Did you try restarting EZkeys 2 and/or rebooting your Mac in-between installing and launching EZkeys 2?

John
