Hi,
have you tried ‘Reset & Rescan’ of your plug-ins in the Plug-In Manager and/or clearing the AU cache?

Hi,
did you install the EZdrummer 3 Core Library Trial after you installed the EZdrummer 3 (software) Trial?
The software and library are two separate installers.

Hi,
the acoustic percussion sounds included in the SD3 Core library are Claps, Snaps, Stomps, Woodblocks, Cowbells, Tambourines and Shakers. There are also a bunch of electronic percussion sounds.
EZdrummer EZX libraries can be loaded and mixed with the Superior 3 SDX:s, e.g. the Latin Percussion EZX and the Latin Cuba Percussion EZX. These are available as separate purchases.

John

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi,
it would help if you could follow Jordan’s advice above and ZIP archive your SD3 project and/or your DAW Project (w/o audio files) and attach to a post here.
BTW, which DAW are you using?

John

Thanked by: Bear-Faced CowWhat does the Product Manager tell you? Please scroll to your Part 3 – Surround Setup product and ‘Show Details’. If this part has a red ‘Download Product’ button and not a red small text under details that says ‘*The Sound Library is possibly installed on an unavailable disk’, you have not installed it previously.
Even if you had, there is no harm Downloading and installing it again.

Hi,
it slightly depends on which version of Pro Tools you are using but in general, you should insert the EZdrummer 3 plug-in on a Stereo Instrument Track and then record-arm the track. Then you should be able to trigger the plug-in via the Nanopad2.

Hi,
it should work perfectly fine to just download and install parts 3+4 without uninstalling part 5.

Thanked by: MefiantHi,
manually moving stuff around post initial install is not good in general but if you hear sound when you click the drums in the interface, your Sound library is found and functional.
The Core MIDI update not working is another thing, though. If you close the PM app and open the EZD3 app and go to Settings > Advanced and ‘Restore MIDI Database”, then switch to the ‘Grooves’ page in EZD3. Do you see any grooves there? Can you audition them?

John

Thanked by: dahinshi2.0.0When I have the hats closed, the tight option on the slider lights up green, but the sound doesn’t change from a semi open sound.
Strange indeed, if you have a look in the TD-30 settings, exactly which note numbers are you sending from your module to trigger the different HH zones?
This is all in SD3 standalone, right? Not in a DAW?

John

Hi,
though Mike does a great job in that video, it’s 6 years old and the SD3 software has evolved from the version he is using.
If you have selected the TD-30 preset and entered the Hi-Hat Pedal tab in SD3, you can ‘Calibrate’ the fully open and closed tight range via the button to the right.
Next, you can manually tweak the different open positions.

Hi Bruce,
this is what I just did on a Win11 PC with no prior EZbass installation:
Ran the Product Manager application and browsed to my EZbass product.
Clicked ‘Show Details’ and then the gray ‘Download’ button next to the 1.1.8 software update.
After it downloaded, I clicked the small menu to the right of the ‘Download’ button and then ‘Show in Explorer’.
Then I un-zipped the archive and ran the ‘EZbass Software Updater’.
Next I Authorised EZbass and when launched, it asked me for the location of my EZbass libraries.
I hope this helps,
John

Hi Travis,
I take it your TD-17 hasn’t got the option, like my TD-12 has, to set the HH RESOLUTION=HIGH in Settings?
Anyways, dragging the Slider in the above picture for ‘Fully Closed’ from 127 to 90, should rectify that part for you. Next, I would experiment with the Velocity Transform curve for fine-tuning the response. Finish by saving your tweaks as your own MIDI In/E-drums Preset.
It’s been a couple of years now since EZdrummer 2 was discontinued, so I wouldn’t expect any further releases for version 2.

John
