Hi Mark,
I had to delete one of your screen shots, since it revealed your serial numbers.

Hi,
if you shorten the notes just a tick so the end of the notes don’t extend to the next?

You just need to check “Use Alternate Hits” in the Hit Variation and the kicks will alternate.
…and this advice goes for any expansion with 2 Kicks loaded in SD3.

Thanked by: axng727, Bear-Faced Cow and Scott EshlemanHi,
you can filter the Grooves for ‘FX’ type, which should reveal at least some fill-like groove parts, depending on which EZK:s and MIDI Packs you have installed.

Thanked by: d gavHi,
if I understand your question correctly, your HH Controller is perfectly capable of sending CC data for EZdrummer 3 to control the level of openness but your module isn’t triggering it?
AFAICT your module should be capable of sending continuous controller data for cc4 so either there is a setting in the module that needs to be changed or they simply aren’t compatible. EZD3 will react to what is sent to it from the module. I would switch LOCAL=OFF in the module and check the data out from it by recording the MIDI when you move the HH up/down to start with.

John

Hi Ralf,
please try the following:
go to {Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/
and manually delete the ‘Superior Drummer 3.aaxplugin’.
Next, go to ~/Library/Preferences/Avid/Pro Tools/ and delete the InstalledAAXPlugIns file
Next launch the Product Manager app, re-download the latest update, do a Custom install and make sure the AAX is checked.
Launch Pro Tools.

Thanked by: BradHi,
you have the MIDI Input Transform Velocity under Settings in EZK2 and the Tuning (OCT/SEMI/CENT) is simply found under the Tuning drop-down.

Thanked by: d gavIf you have set the tempo with tempo changes on your EZD3 Song Track, I would suggest you Export the Song Track as a MIDI file from EZD3 and then just drag-and-drop that MIDI file from the Finder/Explorer to your Reaper Track. Reaper will ask you if you want to import the Tempo data.
If you do it this way, you should not have ‘Follow Host’ enabled if you still have MIDI on your EZD3 Song Track.

Thanked by: Kjetil NilsenHi,
have you switched Sound Library to the Latin Percussion EZX before selecting the Grooves in the Grooves Browser?

Yes, blending the Tracked drums from SD3 with original Cymbal/HH sounds would be a pretty common strategy but this is done in a DAW, where you have full control over the mixing between them.
Bouncing a WYHIWYG from the Tracker would perhaps be something for the ‘Requests & Feedback’ section?

Hi,
if I understand you correctly, you programmed your song in the standalone and saved as an EZdrummer 3 Project?
When you insert the plug-in in your DAW and then load the saved Project in the plug-in, your Song Track should be loaded as well. Please make sure the ‘Follow Host’ button is active.
If you would rather have your drum MIDI be played back from Reaper, you can drag the MIDI from the EZD3 plug-in Song Track to your EZD3 track in Reaper. If you do, the ‘Follow Host’ should not be active.

John

Thanked by: Kjetil Nilsen and ShootieThanks. What kind of cable would work with it? It is pretty old module
I think, the aim is to be able to send and receive signal to our UI24 mixer and control volume.
The UI24 can act as audio interface as well as a mixer, if I understand the product info right.
“The multi-channel USB audio interface also makes it easy to integrate the Ui24R into your recording studio for production work with your favorite DAW.”

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi, after you have clicked the ‘Export MIDI’ button you can drag all Tracks combined to the Song Track. Make sure the Playhead is located where you want the MIDI to start. You will be asked if you want to import the Tempo, which I assume you would want.![]()
Once the MIDI is on the Song Track, you can use the internal Bounce to render audio files. This can be done either per Mixer Output, which includes EQ/Comp/etc or per Microphone, which is pre-Mixer.
There is currently no way to Export an audio file from the Tracker, which includes the original audio file(s) used for Tracking.

John
