Thanked by: EdawgHi,
no I have TD-12 (though not unpacked ATM so I’m using a NI kontroller) but all the Presets have in common that the Cymbal Choking happens via AfterTouch, regardless of which MIDI controller/module you are using. As I wrote earlier, the Mute Hit articulation is a pre-recorded hit and not something you would use with an E-kit, where the pinching of an E-cymbal sends the AfterTouch message to mute the triggered cymbal sound. I.e. you should not try to ‘Learn’ that Mute Hit articulation.
So, next question would be if you are 100% certain you are sending (from your module) and receiving (in your computer) AfterTouch messages when you pinch?
Are you using the EZD3 Standalone application or are you using the plug-in inside a host? If the latter, there’s a possibility that AT is being filtered out.
E.g. I’m using Pro Tools and it took me a while once I started using it many years ago that it Defaulted to filtering out AfterTouch messages, which meant no choking.

John

Thanked by: EdawgIn short: Yes
To expand: You can both Replace another existing instrument with a Snare (e.g. switch a Rack Tom for a Snare) and Add Instrument as a new piece.
There’s a lot to cover when it comes to Microphone Routing, Properties, etc. but I guess that answers your question?

Thanked by: tiariHi Lewis,
there is no EZdrummer 3 serial registered to your account, however there is a Superior Drummer 3 license. Have you mistaken the two products for each other or do you have another account?

Hi,
please start with selecting the TD-9 MIDI Preset in E-Drums/MIDI In. This should pretty much set everything up, no need to learn anything with regards to CC messages.
If I select the TD-9 MIDI Preset in EZD3, trigger a cymbal and then ‘pinch’ (or in my case press a key harder) to send AfterTouch, it Mutes without any tweaking.
The ‘Mute’ articulation is for when you do not have a kit/controller that can send AfterTouch and just want to trigger a sampled Mute Hit, i.e. not the same as ‘pinching’.

Thanked by: Edawg and Scott EshlemanHi,
I am not sure how to reproduce what you are describing; if I drag grooves from EZD3 to Clip Slots in the Session View, they sound exactly as they did inside EZD3 when triggered.
Would it be possible for you to ZIP a Set and attach to a post here?
As for jumping between different locations in a single clip, I do not know if it is possible but I once read something about Follow Actions for Scenes with MaxforLive that might do it.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi Ryan,
there is a lot of useful info here, both in this thread and on the Forum.
In short, you can create custom velocity curves in EZD3 and SD3 to adjust for the MIDI coming from your module. Also, if you compare the output from EZD3 or SD3 with mastered music, the latter will of course always be louder.

Hi Kenneth,
from what I can see, your order has been processed and a serial has been created and auto-registered to your account.
Please check in the Product Manager.

Hi,
any of the Mastering presets on your master bus would give you short term and average LUFS values, as well as the peaks on the outputs. Perceived loudness also depends on the material but if you get the average LUFS values about the same, you should be good.

Hi,
this is not an automated process, so you will just have to be a little more patient until a person at Toontrack handles your ticket.

Hi,
you should find it under ‘Add-On Packs’ in the EZkeys 2 Grooves page.

Hi,
I am not sure I understand your problem exactly but I would start with asking if you are using the “Trigger” articulations (Edge Trigger, Tip Trigger, Bell Trigger) when you are programming with CC data?
Using the individual articulations for Closed, Open 1, Open 4, etc when using CC will yield unexpected results.
It doesn’t really have anything to do with Velocity or Volume though, so I would need to have something to look at to be able to tell. Do you have a Project with MIDI on the Song Track you can zip and attach to a post here?

John
