Hi,
to start from scratch, I would start with Uninstalling from the Product Manager, then check for possible residue in locations according to the FAQ:
https://www.toontrack.com/faq/where-are-my-files-located/
Make sure you still have both read and write permissions on the desired location for your custom installation and if you need to check on how to relocate your Sound libraries and MIDI:
https://www.toontrack.com/manual/ezdrummer-3/9/9-4-the-settings-menu/9-4-4-the-libraries-paths-tab
Perhaps a disk health check is in order as well?

Hi,
do you have another drive to point the Bounce to?
It looks like something that would pop up if you tried Bouncing to an almost full drive or a location that you do not have Write permissions for.

..and also please report which version number is displayed in the plug-in.

Hi,
not sure I understand the problem exactly even though I read all the posts and I couldn’t open your posted presets for some reason.
If an instrument sounds different in a multi-out scenario compared to a single stereo out it’s always what happens in the signal path to the stereo out and then doesn’t in the multi-out scenario that creates the difference.
Also, this can indeed be solved inside SD3:
Moreover, multiout does not let me manually increase the volume of the e.g. hihat at 2 minute 2 seconds to 2 minute 8 seconds…I can do that with audio files and volume envelopes.
This can be done via Macro and/or binding to CC, either the Instrument’s/Articulation’s Volume slider or any of the Mixer faders or both.
This can be controlled by recording the CC via a controller or by drawing in the Grid Editor.

Hi Patrick, another question for you: which version number is reported in the SD3 plug-in interface?

Thanked by: BradJust adding; you can also drop a groove from the Song Track on the ‘Tap 2 Find’ MIDI Drop Zone. Unless you have altered the MIDI beyond recognition, the correct groove should be among the top results.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanHi,
I think what you are experiencing is the effects of panning law, which in most cases/DAWs today is +/-3dB, i.e. a mono sound source panned hard center in a stereo image will be 3dB louder than panned hard to L or R.

Thanked by: Brad and Bear-Faced CowHi Brandon 10,
Logic steals your keyboard input. It does for all plug-ins, not just SD3. However, if you have the plug-in window open and the area you wish to enter text into focused, it should work.
E.g. if I want to start the SD3 Song Track only with Shift+Space, I first click somewhere in the Track tab/area. After that I can click anywhere in the SD3 plug-in GUI and still make use of keyboard shortcuts. Not all are passed on to the plug-in, focused or not. But the rule of thumb is, click where you want the key stroke to be passed in to first.

Hi,
not familiar with that product but have you tried applying any of the MIDI In/E-Drums Presets E.g. any of the Roland ones?

Hi,
seconding Mick’s request for more information to be able to help; are you trying to trigger a sidestick from a MIDI Controller / a DAW?
Are you trying to move hits in the Grid Editor? If so, there is a small down arrow right next to the ‘Snare’ name in the Snare lane which can be expanded to reveal individual articulations.
Are you trying to isolate the Sidestick from Snare wire rattle? In EZD3, the most efficient way would be to lower/mute the Snare Bottom Mic and/or lower the drum bleed into the OH channels on the Mixer page.

John

Thanked by: modrobHi,
it sounds like you changed the MIDI layout on the Drums page which, while totally possible to do, as you have noticed moves things around in the Grid Editor and breaks compatibility with Toontrack MIDI.
If you wish to change the layout while still keeping compatibility with Toontrack or previously recorded MIDI, the better way is to create a MIDI In/E-drums MIDI Map on its relevant page.
To load either just a Kit into a Preset with correct MIDI Mapping or loading Factory MIDI Mapping into a Kit, the ‘Select Parts’ option is your friend. You find it right next to the Preset name, under the down arrow.

Hi,
could you please elaborate?
What do you mean with ‘deleted everything’?
And did you re-download the Product Manager application and re-install this or is it the EZD3 Core library you mean?
Are you running the Product Manager application as Admin?
Are there any error messages you can take a screen shot of and paste in a post here?

John

Hi,
no such option exists now but it seems like something best requested in the ‘Requests & Feedback’ section so I will move this topic there.
