Hej Claes,
Mvh,
John

Hi Claes,
have you contacted Support as Rickard described? I would really recommend it.
Otherwise, the only thing I can suggest right now is to start the Toontrack Product Manager program, go to the product ‘EZdrummer 3 Core Library’ (not ‘EZdrummer 3 – Regular’) and click ‘Show Details’.
Download the ‘Core MIDI update for Windows’ and install it. Then start EZdrummer 3 Standalone and see if it works.

Hi,
if any of the Factory Alesis Presets doesn’t serve as a starting point, maybe this Strata Prime preset I started on for an EZdrummer 3 user might?
Strata-Prime-WIP
I do not own this kit, though. I just entered the note data I had available.

Thanked by: BrianHej,
MVH,
John
Hi,
to find out which version you have installed, go to the ‘Help’ menu in EZdrummer 3 and then ‘About EZdrummer 3’.
Have you tried restoring the MIDI database? Go to the ‘Settings’ menu, then ‘Advanced’ and then click on ‘Restore MIDI Database’.

John

And do you feel that adjusting the buffer size for that bounce in the DAW is good practice or is that not necessary either?
Well, that’s more for making glitches go away with real-time use. An offline Bounce/Render shouldn’t be affected at all by the Buffer Size.
Glitches/hiccups while playing live may be rectified with larger buffer sizes but then the latency will increase, so there’s that trade-off. Using an M1 MacBook Pro *should* be great for live use, though.
I haven’t played my TD-12 / Hart Pro Kit for ages since it haven’t made it out of the boxes and bags after the studio got rebuilt but I think the E-drum optimised Openness Transitions would be better for my setup and playing style.

Thanked by: hyunji kimHi,
in short: yes. What you hear Bounced through the MultiOut from SD3 to Logic is the same as Bouncing Outputs internally in SD3. Any system strained audio degradation during real-time playback shouldn’t be a problem in either Bounce type, Logic or SD3. I doubt that you should experience this with a fairly new computer though but in the case of it happening, it shouldn’t be gradually, more on or off.
BTW, you haven’t checked ‘Cached mode’ and/or ’16-bit mode’ in the Memory Settings in SD3, have you?

John

Hi,
as I understand it, this is happening in LUNA, not inside SD3. Without having your LUNA Project to inspect, it’s hard to guess what is happening but just creating an SD3 MultiOut Track and rec arming or selecting the Tracks in LUNA does not make the volume jump here.

Hi timbom,
some more details about your setup would be great; which equipment part is connected to which, computer, audio interface, drum module, midi interface, etc.

Hi,
do you have any software installed that saves “Snapshots” of your drive, like e.g. Carbon Copy Cloner? I had this problem on several drives that showed plenty of free space when I hit Cmd+I but didn’t let me install because of no space left.
You can also check this article about viewing and deleting local snapshots in the built-in Disk Utility:

The ability to import two different track1 and to be able to cut and paste betwen the tracks
Maybe I misunderstand but you can already have multiple Song Tracks (hundreds of them!) and copy and paste between them.

Hi,
may I ask what the purpose is? If it’s just to remove it, I would first check the PM’s ‘Downloads’ location for any remnant downloaded installation files and delete them. This location is specified in the PM’s Preferences.
After that I’d just drag the Application to the Bin.

Hi,
and thank you for your interest in EZkeys 2.
EZkeys 2 is very versatile but that particular feature; feeding EZkeys 2 an input melody and getting a version of melody and chords in desired style isn’t exactly how it works.
If you input a melody, EZkeys 2 will analyse it and suggest chords to it. Then you can use the ‘Replace MIDI’ function to use pre-made MIDI, Toontrack or your own, to apply that groove/feel and playing style to your input melody block. The melody itself will mostly likely not be unaffected by the ‘Replace MIDI’, so you would keep a block with the melody.
After (or before) that you can ‘Suggest Chords’ where EZkeys 2 looks at your Chords and Suggest variations depending on the Style selected. Suggested and Replaced Chords can easily be tweaked in the Grid Editor if you e.g. think that everything feels great except a couple of notes – just edit them in the Grid.

John
