Many thanks, I’m still trying to get my head around everything.

One thing that has me slightly confused is the difference between selecting a library preset from the Preset selection menu and going near the bottom of that section into the Drum Kits and selecting a preset from there.

    For example.

I have Hip Hop loaded, I then select “Knock” from both the Preset selection menu, and also in that menu, going down to the Drum Kits and selecting “Knock” there.

The Preset selection menu shows “Knock” as I would expect.

I then only go down to the Drum Preset menu and select “14-bit Tape”

The Preset selection menu still shows “Knock” and if I go to the mixer section nothing has changed.

If I then also select “14-bit Tape” from the Preset selection menu, the Preset selection menu now shows “14-bit Tape” as expected.

Now if I go to the mixer section, it’s changed, I now have a Fat Snare at the right.

It makes sense that I’ve selected the “14-bit Tape” and things change, but I don’t understand what happens when I choose only to select a drum kit from the drum kits section menu at the bottom of the Drum Preset menu?

I hope that makes some sort of sense?

    Hi

Here’s a shot of the grooves tab with straight selected.

I’m pretty sure everything is working as intended, it would be nice to know how the files/folders on disk real to the grooves

How do you know the 400@_STRAIGHT relates to the 401@_SONGS folder?  I know I should forget about all this and instead enjoy playing with my new software, it’a just I like to understand these sorts of things.

I’ve just done a file count in the 1903@EZX_THE_BLUES and it comes up with 93 Folders and 380 Files. The website says The Blues has approximately 368 individually played files so I suspect I’m good to go,

    Thanks everyone

What confused me is, unlike the example by Brad

112-S0700@_MI_SHUFFLE_112_BPM contains a zero length header file

This is followed by a number folders that start with 112- that all contain .mid (MIDI) files

If you look at my screen shot,  they aren’t followed by numbered folders, 400@STRAIGHT has the header file in and nothing else, there’s no other folders starting with 400, same for the others on there.

I’m not at my Mac at the moment so can’t check the grooves,  I’ll report back tomorrow

Doh I should have read the pages properly, at the bottom of the Pop Punk MIDI it very clearly states

This MIDI is unique and not the same as the library included with the Pop Punk EZX.
