Thanks for the feedback! We are aware of those issues, and we’ll try to make it easier to handle time signatures in coming updates!

Signature map: copy/paste for time signatures have been added to our todo list, since we have gotten some requests for it!

About the odd meters, have you tried pressing “Use Web Browser MIDI” to check out the entire Toontrack library of MIDI when searching in the Grooves tab?

The Box View presets doesn’t save what’s in the boxes, it only saves what boxes to show. So you can do a preset that’s called “E-drums” that shows the boxes needed for when you want to tweak your e-drums – for example.

If you want to edit multiple instruments, say all the toms, then you should select all the toms (shift + click) and do the editing. All the selected drums will be edited in one go!

It would be MUCH more useful for folks playing/programming with a keyboard to have an second option to globally turn on/off all Aftertouch on cymbals for the Mute Tail Trigger.

If you are using Windows you can use MIDI-OX (http://www.midiox.com) to filter aftertouch events.

    Regards Reiner

    Great tip!
I forgot to mention, that most DAWs (Cubase, Logic etc) has filters, that enables you to globally disable Aftertouch messages…

Great, that’s the latest version. I’ll ask a coder to have a look at this, since it’s a bug! Thanks for the report.

SD3 is another story, since it has many more areas where scrolling is included. If you scroll in the Grid Editor, it will scroll vertically – up or down. You need to press a modifier key on your keyboard to make zoom, another modifier key to make it scroll sideways etc. To be consistent throughout the software, regarding on how the scrolls work, we have the same modifier keys on the song track to zoom using a mouse wheel (same as moving the fingers up/down on a magic mouse).

We knew that some users would find it better to have it exactly as in EZkeys, but this time we went with the path to keep consistency.

The routing of an instrument is complicated since the kick has its sound in many different channels; not just the “Kick In”, “Kick out”, and “Kick Sub” channels for example.

There are some things you can do. Either:

*** Save the individual parts (the kick and it’s mixer channels):
    – Save the Kick as a User Instrument (in the Drums tab – “More” menu). This will save the instrument, but not the mixer channels. You can load this instrument on other presets.
    – In the Mixer, save the channels you want as Channel Effect user presets. This saves the effects chain, and lets you load it to another channel.

    Or

*** Load everything from the next preset, except the kick and it’s mixer channels
    – Select all instruments except the kick (shift + click in the instruments list above the drum kit in the Drums tab)
    – Select all mixer channels – except the “Kick In”, “Kick Out” and “Kick Sub”. If there is an effect bus you want to keep, say a reverb that the “Kick In” channel is using, don’t select that either.
In the Drums and Mixer presets menu, instead of just clicking the preset – right click on it and select “Load Parts…”. In here, you can opt to load only the selected instruments and mixer channels. Since you have selected the kick and it’s channels, the Sneap kick and channels will be kept…

As I wrote in the beginning, keeping an instrument “exactly as it is” is hard, since it blends it sound into other mixer channels etc. It’s a bit tricky and complex, but give it a try and reply here on your progress!

You can save the effects as a Channel Effect user preset (in the Channel Effects menu), and load it on another channel.
The other option is to copy the effects one by one (alt + drag with the mouse).

This sounds like a useful feature. I haven’t experienced the problem myself, even though my MIDI keyboard uses aftertouch. I’ll take a note of it.
To make it a bit easier, you can shift + click to select all cymbals (in the selected instruments list above the kit), and then disable Aftertouch. By doing this, you don’t have to do it once for each instrument…

    Thanks for the feedback!

The video had too low resolution for me to see the version number in the lower left corner. What version are you running?

Open the Details of the Chord Selector. On the fifth button (“5”) there’s a small down arrow – this means that you can press and hold that button to reveal more options; -5, 5 and +5. Select +5 to get raised fifth, e.g. a augmented chord 🙂

No, that’s not possible. If you want to have them separated you need to use two instances of EZdrummer 2, set to two different tracks in your DAW. Then make the MIDI play snare center on one track, and snare sidestick on the other.

Unfortunately no. We are aware of this being a problem, so we will have a look at it for a coming update!

Thanks for the feedback. While it is a technically challenging idea, it would be useful. It’s noted!
