That is correct. You can see this visually in SD3, by going the folder EZX Nashville > 2beats and watching the filters. Only the 2/4 is active in the Time Signature filter section, meaning that the folder only contains 2/4 grooves 🙂

It is not possible to place the instruments where you want to. One of the reasons is that we have a more advanced 3d view of the drums, which means that it’s possible to see what the individual drums/instruments looks like, and when you change a drum it is also visually changed.
I’ll take a note of your request, that it would be beneficial to see where the instruments are positioned in SD3 vs a connected e-kit!

The Song Creator is popup area above the song track, where you get suggestions of matching grooves. Those can’t be edited, just like grooves in the Search tab can’t be edited.
Once you drag files down to the Song Track, they can be edited, using Edit Play Style. Double click a groove (also referred to as Song Blocks, or just MIDI) to open Edit Play Style, right click the hi-hat, and select Articulation, and then select any of the closed ones.

I am new to the whole e drum , I do have a TD-17 and recently bought SD3,I have it all setup ,it recognizes the hit because i see the pads react and cymbals move and all that but get no sound. Is there a setting on the module for the drum or in SD3 that I am missing.Any help will be very appreciated.Thanks.
Do you get any audio when you play a file from Grooves, or if you just click on a drum? If not, then there’s probably something incorrectly setup with the audio interface.

Thanked by: SeanpatsdadSince EZd2 doesn’t handle time nor tempo changes on the track, you need to do this in your DAW. You can either have the MIDI grooves placed on the song track in EZd2, or in the DAW – where it may be easier to work since the time signatures changes the length of the bars.

If you do the same thing, but having the loop on an even bar in Reaper (say 12 to 14), does it behave in the same way?

When you use SD3 as a standalone, go to Settings / MIDI In/E-drums, and watch the Analyzer while hitting the e-drums. Does it continue to say Waiting for MIDI?

When you do the multi output routing in SD3, is this what it looks like (the Kick bus goes to Output 1/2, the Snare goes to Output 3/4, etc)?
—–
I renamed the outputs to what their content is. I also copied the insert effects of the first output channel, to all output channels. If this isn’t done, only the kick will have the initial insert effects.
As I said before, if you use a preset that has effects on one stereo output, these effects are adjusted to work on the entire drum kit. If you change to multi out, then the effects doesn’t sound as intended by the preset maker, and you’ll need to mix the new outputs, either in Cubase or in SD3.

Hi, sorry for the delay! I have been away from office, but I’m on this thread again. I assume you haven’t figured it out why the MIDI isn’t received by SD3 yet?
I’ll ask some of my co-workers if they have any tips on this one, since all MIDI devices I have tried so far has worked with SD3 (I am also using a Mac).

Have you checked that the MIDI Channel option in EZdrummer 2 is set to All, so that it listens to all channels?
Do you have a DAW to use (Cubase, Reaper, etc)? Those can be more handy to use when tracking down MIDI issues, since they have more tools for this.

Im having the same problem, I can’t export to audio, all files turn out to be at another tempo.
Are you using the latest version of SD3 – version 3.1.2?

So i wonder was this a restriction or a glitch in the demo version?
It is most likely just a bug in the Demo!
