If you select Bounce Output Channels it should do exactly that, take the audio from the output channels and render audio files from that. Can you save your SD3 project and post it here so we can have a look at it, why it doesn’t do what you want.

You saved a (Drums and Mixer) User Preset, up in the top right side of the SD3 window? This should save the states of instruments and their volumes

As the image above shows, I changed the bleed to only have Kick and Snare enabled for the channel OH Dyn, saved a (Drums and Mixer) User Preset, and loaded it, and the values was restored as I had saved them.

Are you using the latest version of SD3 – v 3.1.2?

The bounces takes the ringing of instruments into consideration, that’s why they aren’t cut at an exact bar. If you want to loop them in a DAW, you can just drag in the right edge of the audio file so it’s the desired length, then repeat that.

If you have any suggestions for copying notes from one block and pasting them into another (other than just do it), I’d appreciate it.

You can also right click a song block on the song track and select Copy. Right click another block and Paste the instrument notes you want. Does that solve your issue?

But – when done, SD3 displays “Could not create all files.”

    • Start by checking that you are using the latest version 3.1.2.
    • Can you try to bounce to another folder? Another hard drive? Just to exclude issues with full hard drive, or that SD3 doesn’t have access rights to that folder, etc.
    • If you start a new project in SD3, drag down a groove, and bounce that, does that work? To exclude anything in the project you are using.

Hm, sounds strange. Are you using the latest version of SD3 – v 3.1.2?

If you right click on the track to add an empty block, then go into Grid Editor and draw some notes with the Add tool – are those notes played?

    • Are you using the latest version of SD3 (v 3.1.2)?
    • Is there any difference if you don’t have loop area activated while bouncing?

    • Can you play anything with Windows Media Player while having EZdrummer 2 running?
      • If not: can it be because the audio driver (ASIO?) is set up to work with EZdrummer 2 while it’s running, e.g. no other software will have any audio?
    • Can you check the audio files in a DAW to see it they have recorded the audio correctly?

When you save song blocks in User MIDI in EZdrummer 2, the colors (song part info) and the arrangement will be kept. This works even if you select several blocks and drag them to User MIDI in one drag.

In SD3, you can open User MIDI and the saved song blocks from EZd2 will be there. Drag them to the track of SD3 and the colors, order, etc. will be restored.

Just remember to right click the User MIDI (in SD3) and select Sync if there’s a red dot on the folder, since that means that you should re-scan the files in the User MIDI folder…

What sound library/preset are you using? Some will have long reverbs and other effects applied, and the sound of the instrument can sometimes have a long decay time.

You can also install parts of it, for example the basic setup, that’s around 50 GB. This doesn’t include the extra room microphones, and you can install the rest when you upgrade your hard drive 🙂
