I have asked some colleagues to take a look at this issue, if my latest suggestions doesn’t help you…

Where is Grooves Browser?
It’s the Search tab in EZdrummer 2. It’s called Grooves in Superior Drummer 3, so they are sometimes unintentionally mixed up in our answers here on the forum 🙂

how would I quantize just a selection of notes?
You can only affect selected notes in the grid editor! The selected notes are the ones that will be affected when you change values with all the controllers in the row above the notes, e.g. quantize, swing, etc. If you have no notes selected, those controllers will be disabled.

Thanked by: WarBeerThese files should be in the GraphicsV3 folder. If those are the one you got from the retailer, try to add those there.

What files and folders are in your SL-SuperiorDrummer3/GraphicsV3 folder?
The common issue is that there are images and folders missing there, but re-installing the latest software update usually fixes that problem…

#1 – Does that only effect the notes you have selected or all notes….because that suggest hitting the “quantized” button.
When you set a value in the resolution drop down list, 1/8 for example, it means that when you from now on qantize, it will quantize to 1/8. Pressing the “Q max” button (or Q on your keyboard) is the same as dragging the quantize slider to 100%. Further, if you drag notes having Snap enabled, they will snap to 1/8. It doesn’t make a difference what notes you currently have selected when you make a selection in the resolution drop down menu.
The midi editor in my DAW (Reaper) will calibrate the grid based on what you select.
Do you mean that the grid lines will show the resolution that you have selected? We have this on our feature request list! Hopefully we’ll be able to add it to some coming update.

If you want to have a similar snare play, but more or less ghost notes, then you can right click the groove and choose Copy. Right click the drop zone below the Tap2Find button and select Paste > Snare. Now you’ll search for similar snare grooves, and maybe something else fits better.
If you want full control and increase the volume of the ghost notes but leave the normal hits intact, then this should be done in a DAW, or in Superior Drummer 3 – which has more controls of individual notes.

Thanked by: David EuratteDid you have those grooves in the folder My Grooves amongst the Toontrack MIDI? In that case, you need to restore the MIDI database. This is done in Settings/Advanced.

The Song Creator requires information that only Toontrack MIDI has, like what song part it belongs to (Verse, Chorus, etc.).
You can drag a file to Tap2Find to find similar sounding grooves, and if you drag something from Groove Monkee, you’ll probably get similar sounding grooves. You can use those in your song, or right click a groove and select Show In Browser, and then pick any suiting grooves from there…

Thanked by: GaryNice sounding groove! Notice that the first 2 bars plays MIDI both from EZkeys and from the DAW simultaneously. Disable Follow Host or remove the MIDI in EZkeys to fix it.

It seems that the mute function is not released.
This is because the Millenium kit is using Aftertouch data in a way that’s not recommended. They send a value that says “the cymbal has been grabbed/choked” but it doesn’t send a message when the cymbal has been released.
Are you using a DAW? We may help you with a script or similar, that automatically will send the Aftertouch release information after the choking has been done…

Thanks for your point of view! I don’t say that we’ve got it right on all algorithms. I’ll take your considerations into account for future updates/products!
