I’m probably missing something really obvious and will feel silly when it’s pointed out, but…..
How come there are no cymbals available in the bleed options for “OH Cond”?

The routing part of drums is kind of tricky so no need to feel silly here 🙂

The bleed option shows all instruments that are routed to that mixer channel with microphones that aren’t main (close) microphones. So if no cymbals are editable in the Bleed area, then there are no cymbals routed to that channel as bleed.

If you right click any channel in the mixer and select Route Instrument Microphones, then you can see where each instrument has its microphones routed 🙂

You can also reach Route Instrument Microphones from the drums tab by right clicking any instrument and select More in the menu.

Note that some cymbals doesn’t have any bleed captured, such as electronic cymbals, i.e. those can’t be routed to have bleed in different mixer channels.

Not all instruments are recorded with the same articulations.

If you select an instrument in the drum kit (the snare for example), and open the Articulation menu (top right side of the Drums tab), you can see all the articulations that are included for the selected instrument.

Also, when you use Search for Instruments (to change instrument), on the right side you can see the articulations for the selected instrument, and also preview them.

Since you can get the standalone to work, but not EZdrummer in Studio One (correct, right?), you should try the things John asked if you could do:

You have verified that you can record MIDI from your DM 10 in Studio One?

If you record MIDI to an instrument track with EZdrummer 2 inserted in Studio One, does it trigger EZdrummer 2?

There’s no point on looking into errors in EZdrummer if one isn’t sure that EZdrummer is receiving the correct MIDI notes.

We have made a fix for some bugs regarding the audio device error. It will be added in the the next version of SD3, which currently is being tested and will be released asap.

As John said, if you first installed the core library with the default settings, it should be placed in:

    • {Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/Superior Drummer/

In there, the SL-SuperiorDrummer3 is placed, and that’s the folder that is the sound library, e.g. the folder that you can delete.

    • Before you delete that folder on your internal drive, you can rename it to test_SL-SuperiorDrummer3 or something else. If SD3 then works correctly after a restart with the folder renamed, it means that the folder isn’t used, e.g. can be deleted.

Thank you but I don’t know where to find it on my internal hard drive.

Click the menu, and Show in Finder Now you have the sounds folder SL-SuperiorDrummer3 shown; copy it to your external drive

Did you follow that step in my instructions? If so, you copied the folder to your external drive, e.g. that’s where it’s placed.

The easiest way is to use the bounce feature in Superior Drummer 3, found in the Track menu (top left corner of the song track). In there you can decide how to bounce, and one option is to bounce each microphone as a audio file.

I can see the logic with your explanation as to why you have a lack of shortcuts but honestly for the price you pay for this VST and how hi tech everything is that is an awful excuse

We are currently developing a system where the keyboard shortcuts will be enhanced, and this will be included in the next update.

To be clear, I downloaded and installed part 2 to the internal drive too. So, do I have to move it too using the PM?

No, the PM knows where the folder for the sound library installation is (since you have already told it once using “Set Path”)

You will only have to copy the OBW files from the SL-SuperiorDrummer3/Sound folder from the internal drive to the same folder on your external drive (the OBW files are the actual sounds).

When you download and install the rest of the library (part 3, 4, and 5) they should be installed directly to your external drive, so you don’t have to manually copy the files.

In what way do mean “work with”? You can have EZkeys authorized on two computers, so if one authorization is made for you laptop you are good to go!

Triggering is not working even though I can hear the right samples playing when clicking on CC/Triggers (hatsTrig, hatsTipTrig). I need to figure out the reason.

The triggering using CC should play the stacks, but the stacked sounds won’t mute when you open/close your hi-hat (like an open hi-hat will be muted when a closed is played for example).
