You can create your custom MIDI and import it into EZdrummer 2 (even drag and drop if your host supports drag and drop).
You can put that MIDI file in tap2find’s Drop Zone to find similar MIDI, and use the Song Creator.
You can’t (at the moment) make it searchable, meaning that it won’t show up in amongst the results. This is, however, something we are looking into.

Can you post the exact error message you get from ProTools? What version of ProTools are you using?

The problem is that velocity and volume is two different things.
– Volume is the volume for the channel where the drum’s microphone(s) are being sent. So raising the volume is the same as raising the volume on a real mixer when recording a drum.
– Velocity, on the other hand, is an emulation of how hard the drummer is hitting on the drum
You can right click an individual drum (on the main drum view) and lower it’s volume, or lower it’s microphone channels in the mixer, if it’s too loud throughout the entire song.

If you are working within a host, that host might offer a way to use your keyboard as a MIDI controller. For example, Logic offers this (https://discussions.apple.com/message/7756177)
The problem with implementing this into EZdrummer 2 (and other plugins) is that a press from a key on your keyboard won’t be sent into EZdrummer – the host will capture it but it won’t forward it into the plugin (a bit technical description). But essentially – we can’t use the keyboard to control EZdrummer 2 in most cases.

Thanks for the thoughts. I will send the request to our sound department

Thanks for your words. This feature is something we have discussed, but we felt at the time of designing that it would add complexity into the user interface of EZdrummer 2, and since it’s possible to set time signatures and tempo in the DAW (which EZdrummer 2 will follow) we decided to design it the way it’s designed now.
We are, however, constantly updating the software to include customers requests and your ideas are noted!
