Do you have MIDI transform turned on in Menu/E-drums/Manufacturers/… ? That could transpose the incoming MIDI from Logic X.

Nice to hear! Well, for anything that’s missing in the manual – we are here to answer your questions ![]()

The big X is located in the bottom right corner of the properties window.

You can record the tambourine MIDI to the EZdrummer 2 song track (press the record red circle button then play), then click on the tambourine. Quantize the block, zoom in and cut the MIDI block to a 16th bar length, duplicate that to fill 1 bar and merge those small blocks. This can also be achieved in your DAW – drag the MIDI block with the one hit recorded to your host and duplicate it into 16ths. This will sound pretty static and the recommended way is to use EZdrummer 2’s amount knob to add tambourine 16ths.

I added the MIDI files that should give you 100% matches.
Can you post a MIDI file of what you are using in Tap2Find? (You can simply drag the MIDI file that ends up under the Tap2Find button).

As Scott said: more info makes it easier for us to search for the bugs, so any additional information is appretciated, e.g. computer specs, version numbers of ezdrummer and cubase, what you did when it crashed (was it in a particular area in EZdrummer, for example “when pressing tap2find”).

Yes, you can use EZdrummer without it’s song track – just like any other software instrument. Just place EZdrummer as an instrument in Logic and add some MIDI notes in a MIDI block in Logic (or just click on the piano roll in the MIDI edit area) and you’ll notice that EZdrummer plays that ![]()

You can select the Metal preset pack in the filters, by doing that only that pack’s presets will be listed. If you can’t see the filter “Preset Pack” you can make that visible by checking it in the main Menu/Preset Filter Columns/Preset Pack.

Thanks for your ideas. I assume that you are talking about EZdrummer 2 – if you click on the volume or pitch controller, you’ll get a small popup telling you the current value of the knob. I agree that these values could be more visual, something we will take into consideration!
If you press ctrl + click on a PC (or cmd + click on a Mac), the controller will be reset to it’s default value.

Yes, you can use any MIDI in the DAW, put that on the EZdrummer track and EZdrummer will play that.

Thanks for the ideas! We always listen to our customers. The ideas aren’t always possible to implement due to different reason, but this one has been requested before so we know about the need for resizable windows ![]()

Unfortunately, that is not possible (becuase of how DAWs works). DAWs (Reaper for example) can only import one MIDI blocka at a time, so if the user is dragging multiple MIDI blocks from EZkeys they have to be merged. So there is nothing we (or any other plug-in developers) can do about it…

That is unfortunately not possible (from a technical point of view). Plug-ins that are loaded into DAWs (Reaper, Cubase etc) don’t have any abilities to add things to the DAW’s tracks automatically or by a button. The user has to do that manually…

Do you mean that you want to be able to use more MIDI than your current library?
In that case:
– You can expand your MIDI library by buying some of Toontracks MIDI packs for EZkeys
– You can add a folder from your hard drive to your EZkeys browser (from the main Menu/Browser/Add Folder to Browser)
– You can drag and drop MIDI from your hard drive directly to your song track
I’m not sure if that answers your questions?

EZdrummer 2 was designed to replace EZdrummer 1, but it will be able to play your old projects!
