Thanks for the ideas! I’ll take a note of your thoughts here, and see what I can do with them 🙂 Great feedback!

1.) I would love to add my own drumset with more hits maybe a library maker that leads me through it like
“play/add 4 Hard hits on the kick” … “now play 4 medium hits on the kick”
and so on just so that i can add my own snare some how to layer it or use it as a simplified kit
it think it would be amazing.
Thanks for the feedback – it’s noted 🙂
2.) Another point i love about the new superior drummer is the addition of the electronic sounds
but they are not soo easy to find and are not in the library as a kit. for example
i want a set but the bassdrum should be a electronic bassdrum layered with the original one …
so i click on the bassdrum and there are only the real bassdrums and the electronic ones are somewere else … do you know what i mean?
I may misunderstand you here, but if you want to stack the kick with an electronic kick – what you do is:
1. Right click the kick and in the menu selected More > (Stack) Add To >, and in there select the articulation you like to add the electronic kick to. If you are unsure of which articulation to choose, just pick the topmost.
2. In the Search for Instrument window – click the tags Type “Electronic” and Instrument “Kick”. You’ll now have a list of electronic kicks. Find a suiting one, and press the blue “Stack on ” button in the bottom right corner.

Do you mean the MIDI Mapping Keys view, and it scrolls when you just click a key in the top or the bottom of it (not dragging an articulation)?
In that case, that is a bug that will be fixed for the next release. If not – please reply here 🙂

Double click a groove to play it once. Press the play button to loop it.
Here are some more tips:
While a groove is playing you can listen to the next groove by either
* Click on the other groove (that will make the groove continue to play from the previously played groove, in sync)
* Press the play button on the other groove – that will start the loop from the start.

If you change the main snare, the stacks will still be there – if that was your question?

That user wanted to achieve the same thing 🙂

I was too quick with my trigger fingers there 🙂 The EZX:s aren’t all correctly tagged as you say. We are working on it, and updates will be released. I don’t know when though – but we are working on it!

Yes, it’s possible! In Superior Drummer 3, this is called stacking. To create a stack – right click on the drum, select “More” > “Stack – Add To” and there you select what articulation you would like the stack to end up on. You can do this multiple times to add more stacked articulations. Finish by selecting each stack articulation and give it a range in the Velocity Range property box.
You can read more about this in the manual – https://www.toontrack.com/manual/superior-drummer-3/3/3-4-drums-tab-header-bar – under the header “The More Menu”.

It really depends on if you need to be able to change presets with MIDI (can’t physically access the computer)?
If you can access the computer, it’s easy to create many different user presets that you switch between with 2 buttons in the main interface. MIDI change is currently not supported.

If you have Follow Host enabled, then will the playback of the MIDI on Superior’s time line follow the time changes etc. in the host. However, to get it visually correct, with the bars and division in Superior Drummer 3, you must edit that – or import a tempo map, created in the DAW.
Superior Drummer 3 (or any other plugin) can’t tell the DAW to follow something – so changes made in Superior Drummer 3 won’t be reflected in the DAW:s timeline.

Yes! Superior Drummer 3 Sound Library, and all SDX:s can be individually placed anywhere. EZX:s must be gathered in one folder though.

It’s located in the library Superior Drummer 3 – Percussion. You’ll see it in the Grooves tab, where you can select “Superior Drummer 3 – Percussion” in the Library filter column, or simply do a text search for cowbell. Remember to clear any active filters before this, so a “Snare” filter, for example, isn’t active.

Yes it is possible, SD3 is very flexible in that respect. Â
Exactly.
You can even have a small installation on one place and a full installation on another place. I have the basic sound installation for SD3 sound library on my internal drive on my laptop, and the full installation on an external disk. If I take my laptop with me and don’t bring the external disk, I can still use SD3 – but without the extra sounds 🙂
