Thanks for the feedback. Nice to hear that we have some EDM users! I am one myself, and we wanted to make this software usable for many different genres.
We designed the import audio file workflow based on that users listen to their samples in Finder on Mac (or Explorer in Windows), and then import it. Although – it’s not a bad idea to have a preview in the import dialog. We’ll look into that…
Having more options in the Search for Instrument, like importing and tagging custom sample audio files is also a thing we have explored but not yet implemented. We’ll continue to investigate that area too…
We can’t, however, say when or if these things will end up in SD3…

{EDIT} [Solved]
You can “Save as default project” and it will remember
Nice catch 🙂 For others who wants to do this: “Set Current to Default Project” is found in the main File menu.

You want to move all MIDI blocks right by a certain amount of bars?

Yes, you can try it yourself.
For example:
* Press the properties button on a not assigned macro knob, that open the properties popup
* Press “Add…”
* Drag all tom channel volumes to bottom
* Press “Save Start”
* Drag all tom channel volumes to a volume that you want to be a maximum
* Press “Save End”
Now your macro control should change volumes of all tom channels in the mixer.
You can read more about this in https://www.toontrack.com/manual/superior-drummer-3/8/8-2-binding-a-control-to-a-macro
