Check Logic’s Plug-in Manager (Logic Pro X menu/Preferences), that EZdrummer 2 is found in the list of plug-ins, and that it’s validated!

If i replace a Cymbal with a Ride the Ride-Grafic is not the Original.
Its showing a grafic from a Roland-E-Cymbal (Black-Cymbal).
Is this a bug or its a visual for “not the correct place for a ride”? – this would be in conflict with ur state above:
“all positions can be replaced with any instrument”…

It’s correct that a generic e-drum is shown when an instrument that doesn’t originate from the selected position is loaded – a kick on a cymbal position, for example. Strange visual things would happen if a kick was shown at the cymbal position, so we chose to show a generic instrument, as if it triggered another instrument.
It doesn’t go against the fact that all positions can be replaced with any instrument – this is only how they are visually represented

Ah, ok, I see where the confusion comes from. If you take a look at my screenshot, in the “Bleed from Instruments” box on the right side, the header says “Not Installed/Found”, but the information on the OH Cond channel itself says “No Mics Routed”…
We may need to make the text on the channel itself a bit clearer… We’ll look at it and see what we can do about it. Thanks for the feedback!

Can you guys send us a Superior Drummer 3 project file where this happens so we can have a look at it?

I’ll notify the coders, so they can have a look at it! We can’t have our software crash on you 🙂

One of the e-mails should have the serial number you need to register the product to your account, which you can do in the Product Manager (or on the website).

You need to open the Details view of the Chord Selector to customize the chord – see attached screenshot:

So the MIDI files that are gray (when you open the project) are placed in a track in Pro Tools? This is strange, because Superior Drummer 3 (nor any other plugin) can’t change how the MIDI files look in Pro Tools. Can it be that Superior Drummer 3 plug-in is turned off in Pro Tools, rendering the MIDI files gray? Can the MIDI files be muted?

If you have a ride and listen to it, with the Envelope turned off, what you hear is the maximum amount of sustain = the original sound. The envelope can’t add sustain/release – only lessen it. If you want to increase the “length” of an instrument, you need to add reverb, delay or any other effect that adds room to the sound. You can also adjust how much the ride sounds through the room mics in the mixer. More level in the room mics = increased “length” of the instruments.
