I feel also the urge to change my DAW and VST’s to a Linux environment. I own Reaper and use Wine to do so. But by doing so I spent more time problem solving than music making. I own also stuff from Native Instruments like Guitar Rig, same problem… So I had to go back to Windows 11. But I encountered a version, called Windows 11 LTSC and it comes without all the annoying stuff. For now it functiones perfect, but, the moment the Wine problems are solved and/of the VST manufacturers make their products available for Linux, I will step over…
