I experienced the same thing and after some investation I found the culprit

On my Mac I have a program from “Rogue Amoeba” called “SoundSource” which routes the sound from diffent apps to various output.

In the audio settings of that App, “Audio processing” is swiched on by default. Nice for some thing but it caused latency when playing though EzMix, uncheck that box fixed thing for me.

So, check if you have some app/driver processing audio in the chain between EzMix and your soundcard, might be the problem.

 

Update: On the new SoundSource 6.x the box mentioned above is gone. Instead you have to start EzMix and then exlude it in the settings of Soundsource. Works just as well and you can keep using the power of Soundsource for other sources..
