    Thanks very much Scott,

I did notice that when I download my content, do I need to download the file underneath the serial number PLUS the update file, or is the one underneath the serial number the up to date one?

thanks again for your splendid help,

    Thanks Scott,
I do understand that active authorisations are limited to 2.

In my case, I need to have both desktop machines running while I learn how to to use logic pro x (it could take a while), then I’ll transfer back to the laptop. So this will take up all 4 of my authorisations (although I only ever need 2 active). Your FAQ says I need to give a reason for needing a reset, will this be considered a bona fide reason?

I hope you don’t think I’m being awkward, it’s just that I have fallen foul of “smallprint” and semantics in the past and, while I’m sure Toontrack are a fine company, I would like this to be clear.

Can you also confirm there is no charge for resetting.

Many thanks for your help on this,

    G

If I ask, you’ll definitely grant, free of charge?

I’m very concerned here, if I can’t guarantee that my investment in Toontrack products is not time locked, then I need to look at another software.

I need an assurance that, ‘the lifetime of the product’ is not reliant on 3rd party hardware manufacturers.

If I do not get that assurance then I will not be purchasing any more of your products.

    Thanks Scott,
If I remove the Laptop authorisation and later want to activate it again (once I have learned how to use LogicPro X), I’ll have to go through the process of activating each package, that will take ages! There must be an easier way, can I not just authorise a computer to do all of my products?
I don’t really understand why you only wish me to use it on 2 machines, but are you saying that I can only change this 4 times? I may need to change back and forward a couple of times over the next couple of months. If this is the case, am I’m stuffed?

Thanks again everyone for the input.
I have been experimenting with multi-outs and at the moment, on the present song I’m working on, I have 2 instances of ez running to get the toms from standard kit replacing RS toms. It’s a bit “Heath Robinson” though and I do have some inconsistencies but it works. Today, I’m going to check out who has SD at the best price. I think Audioeluxe are doing it at a the best price but that would be a download
    thanks

Thanks for all the info. After selling a couple of bits on ebay I may be able to afford SD on the “crossgrade” thing.
It does seem like I could “tweak out” all the niggly issues. A good friend of mine (pro musician) who uses BFD did say he’d heard that SD “pi**es all over BFD….”
Do the EZX still work well with SD?
If I crossgrade do I still keep EZ Drummer??

I’m beginning to think I may have to bite the bullet and go down the route of “tweaking”. I”ve been sitting here for 3 hours and nothing I seem to do can get the RockSolid or Nashville kits to sound right.
The kick drum on the Nashville sounds like s**t, and the toms on that and RSolid ring for about a bar! Actually I’m really disappointed with these 2.

Maybe I’ve got to that point with all this, I thought EZ was sitting in the mix better but I just can’t get to that last step.
After purchasing 4 or so EZ kits, I may go back and explore BFD Eco, I just can’t afford SD.

So I can’t access that “Fade” parameter can I? If I can’t, that’s not an issue.

One of the things I like about EZ is that there’s not a lot of ‘tweaking’.
I had tried BFD Eco and changed to EZ because, with BFD, I felt I had to know too much about drum production and engineering.
I couldn’t get BFD to “sit” in the mix as easily as EZ.

If I know that the preset parameters are different I can experiment but any info would be great, I can’t find anything on your site though.
    Thanks very much, Scott.
