Sounds like you just need to improve your mixing skills, and/or also blend in processed samples that are very punchy.

You mean the up/down arrow from the instrument menu should also be triggered by the keyboard up:down arrow.

I guess you mean having customizable keyboard shortcuts to load specific presets or just specific elements (like one specific snare, one specific kit, one specific preset without the mixer, one full preset, etc) ?
