Hello John. How much more cpu is used bij SD3 in comparison with EZdrummer 2? Looks like a fantastic plug in. Greetings
Hello John,

Hello John,
my stand alone app is ok. I’ve adjusted the settings audio/midi. Thanks for the advice.
In stand-alone app, there are no clicks or plops. So the punky arnold setting works fine.
I couldn’t change my computer settings to one core so I think it’s done within SD3. Have you additional info about this topic?
I did wanna bye the EZX indie folk but with my problems, I’m gonna wait till I find a solution.
Greetings
Dirk
Hello Todd,
nice to hear from you.
My buffersize is 256. If i use 128, it’s nothing but plops and clicks, cracks. If I use 516, the latency is too much to play the e-drums. If I use the original mix from the EZX presets, it’s ok. I use ASIO. Never had any problems with the soundcard. I use to record my acoustic drumset live with mics, usually 7 or 8 mics with this soundcard. No problems.
I’ve just finished 2 music video’s with adobe premiere CS5 with no problems, so I don’t understand what’s going on. The support of Toontrack can’t help me either. The tested the EZX seventies rock punky Arnold preset (all crackel when I use this one) with no problems..
I guess I will be “bouncing around” a lot..

Hello I’ve got a question.
Do you hear clicks and plops if you use the EZ drummer 2 app? My specs:
I’ve bought the seveties rock EZX and the UK Pop.
There is krackling and plops if I use anything else but the ‘original mix ‘ setting from the EZX.
My buffersize (latency) is at 256 on my RME multiface soundcard.

Hello again,
thanks for the fast replay! Strange! What is going on with my system? I made a musicvideo (+/- 3.30 minutes) in adobe premiere CS5 with a lot of tracks and slow motion with no problems..
I got the info from an SD3 user. I thought he ment the CPU core.
I’ve got a quad core I7 CPU which I can change in my computersettings to one core..I think..
I’ll have to check tonight!
Is it possible to set the cores in SD3? If yes, why would it be preferable?
Greetings

Hello,
could it be the bleed- and/or amb knobs in the mixer?

Thanked by: Todd MavisHello John,
Sample rate 44.1Khz.
Which are the specifications of your macbook pro?
Thanks for the tip on the stand alone-app. I’ll check it this evening..
I’ve read somewhere to selecte only “one core” in stead of “multicore” for CPU on the PC. This was a solution for someone…Could this help?
Greetings Dirk
Hello John,
I have set RME control panel to 256 and ableton adapts accordingly. So preferences of ableton is also 256
I did run ezdrummer standalone. There were no cracks that I could hear at that moment. The stand alone application did lauch the next time but was not controlable trough midi, so no midi input. So my td-12 kit was unusable..
The seventies rock punky arnold set sounds great but I can only use the Original mix version within ableton.
Didn’t try it yet for my normally productions of +/- 30 channels..So I have to bounce the ez drumtracks to audio.. Not nice!!
I did want to upgrade to SD3 but I think my system will not be strong enough.. that’s strange since it has great specifictions..
I read a lot of people who have the same problem. I think you have to put your brains together and find a solution.
Is it the whole set-up who is lauched if for axample the EZX uk pop is selected? This is +/- 5 Gb which is a lot if you only use 5 instuments with a few effects.
Greetings
