I forgot, I actually I reported it as a bug a while ago.
Thought it had to be fixed right now. And it actually is.
The reason why this happens is, that I substituted the snare from EZD3 with a EZD2 snare, which doesn’t simply has those rimshots files.
the Devs fixed it by deleting the option to choose an EZD2 drum at all. For percussion it’s still possible though.
However, My template was saved, when it was possible and so it still had that EZD2 snare in there.
switching to all EZD3 drums fixes the problem.
I’m all good now 🙂
cheers

I think I found the reason. It seems the different Sample packs are not as compatible as I thought. If I use the EZD3 Kits the dynamics between the different hit styles are great and working. Hoever if I change to one of the “Metal Head snares”, which i like because of the punchyness, I get those very thin and quite rimshots. And even with full velocity, it seems they do not reach over the center hit, but that is due to the different recording- and engeneering setups I guess.

P.S.: So I guess my Thread-title is completely wrong 😉
Did a test with EZD2 with the same result. I feel it is only that one section “Sparks” from the “EZX Indie Folk” sample pack. checked several other midi files, they converted correctly to the given tempo.
Can somebody confirm?
thanks
Michael
killed it, restarted the machine, retried. worked like charme.
a one, a two, a three, a four!

grrr, all good, I copied them in the wrong folder. Fixed! Anyway. I’m still wondering how samples can disappear for no obvious reason. rock on Michael
Dunno what happend, but suddenly some samples from the Defaultkit are missing. I don’t have the first snare Top and bottom anymore, also the first Ride ist missing. for Hats and first kick the room samples are missing as well. My EZdrummer is a LITE+Upgrade version. In order to be able to install the 64bit version, I was told to deinstall LITE, so I did. Then I could install the 64 Upgrade as well. I’m pretty sure it worked well when I tried it out the first time. Now I’m irritated. I copied over all sounds, from the LITE and the Ugrade CDs into the soundfolder again, but it won’t work. any ideas? Thanks Michael
Indeed! I bought lite and then the update to the full version. Both were resident on my HD. I had to deinstall the lite version first, in order to install the 64 Bit upgrade. Now the 32 bit and the 64 bit Full versions are available. thanks Michael
thank you man, for your warm words 🙂 Let’s see if I can get my brother-in-law to sing over it … so pro! 😀
Michael
woops, Thanks for being so kind not writing “RTFM!!!!” I just found it too, just couldn’t imagine that LITE is really not supposed to be used even in a hobbists project and just a teaserproduct, I mean come on, at least one high tom and one crash and you could do something with the kit.
Maybe it is a good idea to make those greyed out samples totally disappear for LITE, to avoid confusion? In fact, for me, this was what made me think, “well there must be something missing”.
ok anyway, first impression on that thing: Awesome! Must have! teasing accomplished! bastards!
cheers
