Fixed, I think. Logic was opening in 32 bit mode, when I usually run Logic 9 and EZD in 64 bit. So I’ve changed Logic 9 back to 64 bit and it now recognises EZD. Perhaps the tick box got changed when I upgraded the OS. Thanks John and everyone else.

    Hi John,

I upgraded to OS 10.12.6 and then upgraded EZDrummer. I cleared the AU cache but Logic 9 is still not seeing EZD. I also tried moving the component as above but that didn’t work. It does see EZKeys which was not upgraded. It still works as a standalone.

    Thanks, Dave.

Hi. Same here after updating EZD. EZD doesn’t show up on Logic 9. Removing the component solution above did not work. If I use the re-install method do the files I created stay where they are or do I have to save them somewhere first?

Also, it says to uninstall download full product installer, but that’s already installed. Thanks.

Having decided to wait for the next M1 machines with perhaps bigger screens, which are now delayed, I’m worried that Monterey will arrive first. I thought the problem was not running on Apple chips but running on Big Sur, then we’ll have to wait until they run on Monterey. I may be wrong about that last part so please correct me if I’m wrong.

It sounds like it might be useable as I’m not recording drum parts, just using and editing patterns. I’m updating from an old MacBook and Logic 9 so I just wanted everything to work from scratch. Thanks for the replies.

Well, today I’ve done exactly the same as yesterday and it now works. What I played in Tap 2 Find now survives being dragged into the timeline. But I don’t know what the difference might have been. The next question is relating the odd results that are supposed to match what is a very basic John Bonham style pattern. I will ask that question somewhere else.
