Having the same issue in 10.5. Everything was working fine until……..😄
cubase 10.5 was bogging down and I had too many directories trying to operate, pops, freezing etc.
so, I went to Cubase for help and they suggested typing “xcubase on all the files, and Cubase would reset a new directory. Lost all my songs (somewhere) and vsts. Finally got back my NI vsts but SD3 won’t point to Cubase. The stand alone works fine. Opens and plays. I get the path off the stand alone and type it in the Cubase VST manager, path not found. It’s not there.
I will take pics tomorrow to show what I’m doing.
thanks.
Yes, thank you Mac. I am able to drag grooves to Cubase. But for some reason, when I go to settings/drums from inside Cubase, the select midi device is not an option. Only in stand alone mode. After several attempts in standalone mode trying the options available, it required a full reboot and fresh Cubase project to work.
Yes, thank you. And then….after banging my head against a wall for hours…….it just started to work, for no apparent reason. Thank you everyone. Sorry for bitching. I was pulling my hair out!
awesome ……
Ok, wow. So, first, I was trying to do all of this through my Daw, Cubase, and it never prompted to select a midi device. So, I just went through the stand alone SD3 and found the select midi device. It has detected my keyboard, and I have tried at least three times (apply/ok) and it is still not working. At least I am headed in the right direction.
