Hey Rogue, I stand corrected. Checked again last night when I was patching after uninstalling and reinstalling EZD. I think I was confusing it with my Sonar installation which definitely gives the 32/64 bit choice.

Anyway, got it all up and running in Sonar so thanks for the good advice.

    Cheers

Ok Rogue, understood. I am fully aware of how Sonar vst scan works, have been using it for years and have many different dll’s. Also using EZD for a while and never had an issue with installing it on my XP system. I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere on new pc.

I saw another post by Dave Modisette (very intuitive guy) somewhere and he mentions that 32 bit should be installed as well or 64 bit will not work. That is what gave me the clue in the first place as I had only installed 64 bit as I mentioned.

And, I can assure you 100% my cd offers both 32 bit and 64 bit installation options. Don’t forget, I am in the UK so maybe something different available here for distribution? I just ran it again last night to make sure I was not going crazy. I have only just downloaded the patches and will apply those tonight.

    Your information is very clear.

    Cheers

    Hi Scott,

You just sent me a link to another answer you gave me but it lead me to another post, not my post.

You said you do not understand how I installed 64 bit without 32 bit. I have not applied the update yet, I have only installed the paks from my cd’s. I have not installed EZD 32 bit, only 64 bit. I did not know about the patch until you mentioned it.
I have my new Win 7 system 64 bit. Here is the procedure I used.
    1. Installed Sonar Producer X1
    2. Installed EZD standalone 64 bit
    3. Installed EZD full app 64 bit (I did not specify a location for dll. Should I have done this? How do I point it to Sonar?)
    4. Installed all of my add on paks from cd as 64 bit

Now at this point I just want to know how I can fix all of this. Here is what I propose to do. Will this work?
    1. I will uninstall ALL EZD (Please confirm I will not have an issue with authorisation by doing this)
    2. I will reinstall ALL by doing 32 bit first then 64 bit. How do I point it to Sonar so Sonar picks it up?
    3. I will apply the patches 1.3.1 for EZD, EZD standalone and EZD Cocktail
    4. I will apply 32 bit first then 64 bit.

Is all of that correct procedure?

    Cheers

Thanks Scott, that’s a great help. Do I have to unistall EZD and all of my paks first and then erinstall starting with 32 bit then 64 bit? I recently ahd an issue with toontracks about authorising my products on my new pc and I don’t want to go throgh that again.
How do I point EZD to Sonar?

    Cheers,
    Bill

    Hey Whitten,

I beg to differ, there is no manual or any kind of instructions appearing in my downloads area. It is ridiculous that there is nothing available. How can you expect the users to buy a product without even installation instructions? I’ve messed around with this for over a week now. Not impressed
