While not being exactly on topic I still wanted to mention that since S3.1.3 you can change the path to where the user presets reside. It’s at the bottom of the Settings>Libraries/Paths page.
Hmm. This might be a better option for me. I can put them on my external SSD which is shared by both my computers. Thanks!
But I do need to get acquainted with the cloud. Manual backups are becoming a pain with a 2nd computer. I was thinking Dropbox.

Greatly appreciated Bear-Faced Cow.
That’s why I suggest Toontrack implement their own cloud though. With Addictive Drums 2 for example, all I had to do was download the Cloud Sync portion of their app. It’s automated from there by simply clicking on the preset section of the GUI.

…Once I linked them to SD3, I had to find which drum in SD matched the corresponding drum in NI. Once I did that, the grooves just didn’t translate very well. Not impressed…
If you didn’t, apply the NI mapping; Click on the arrow on the right of the linked folder, go to MIDI In / Native Instruments and click Abbey Road Series. That will map the kit pieces for you. It should match perfectly.
I just found a couple companies that have some very good Latin MIDI grooves. They are formatted for SD3 as well as several others.
They are:
Odd Grooves and Platinum Samples. I listened to both of them. I bought the Odd Groove Latin set. Really well played. Not Quantized in either companies Libraries.

I’ll check them out for some other stuff. The LP EZX is holding me off for now. The Latin grooves I need are more for percussion.

@Henrik this worked except my remapped kick is not making the drag & drop to my DAW. I tried in both Logic and the MPC software to make sure. All other MIDI seems to be dropping fine.
My kick is on both A & A#.
Are you able to test this? Not sure if this is a bug or user error.

So where is information on linking these midi files from Native Instruments?
Operating system: Windows 10
Section 4.3, page 49 of the manual. Groove Tab / Menu / Folder / Add Linked Folder.

Yes. I never used them either other than linking the grooves. I remember seeing some Latin grooves in the Vintage folder though I can’t say how good they were.

You mention Native Instruments. Do you have the Abbey Roads series? I’m almost certain there are some Latin grooves in there.

Thanked by: Jeff…And, it would be cool if they could do some behind the scenes mapping for the LP grooves to like instruments in Orchestral Percussion II. Bongos, Congas, shakers… I know all the articulations are not the same, but some help would be nice.
A MIDI pack for Orch Perc I & II would be nice as well.

Thanked by: JeffI believe all of your favourites are in that directory. I could be wrong, however, but I know the presets are.
All I can say is if you hate cloud drives, then you’re probably not using them to your advantage.
Between my computers, phone and tablet, the data I need is always accessible to me. I’m often playing with SD3 with my laptop when I am either on a plane or out of the house doing something. Once I hook up to the cloud, my presets and projects are shared with my main music computer ready for me to flesh them out.

You’re right. I don’t use them much at all. This is the 1st time ever I’ve had a “road computer”. I’ve been backing up & sharing everything manually. Not too bad when it’s just projects. But favorites, presets and such, it’s becoming a pain.
Toontrack should consider having their own cloud. I just starting using Addictive Drums cloud for this same thing.

I believe one of the menu items in the User Presets is “Manage in Finder”. That will take you right to the preset in the ~/Library/Application Support/ directory.
And I could just copy that and save it in the same location on the other computer?
Any chance fovorited grooves are also in App Support?
One way to share these with your other computers automagically is to move the presets directory to your cloud drive directory and set up a symlink (assuming MacOS) in the Toontrack preset directory pointing to cloud drive. Do the same on your other computer. In a few moments, your presets are shared between both computers.
I would love to automate this, but hate using cloud drives. I’ll see how (in)convenient the manual way is and go from there.
Thanks!

+1, I went looking, knowing Toontrack had some given the Latin Percussion EZX. Nope! I purchased LP, mostly for the grooves, but I can never have enough drum/percussion sounds.
I have a few from Native Instruments “Cuba”…
Have you linked these to SD3 or EZDrummer (not sure if EZD has this feature)? I would love to get these in SD3 to play with LP & Orchestral Percussion II.

…If you enable the MIDI IN mapping, and first drag a Toontrack MIDI file to the Song Track then drag it to your DAW, it will be reverse-mapped (so it fits the current MIDI IN mapping)…
I could’ve sworn I tried this. Do I need to disable my MIDI In mapping before I drag to my DAW?
I’ll have to try this again. Once I get this to work, I’m happy.

Ehh well. I’ll manually fix what’s worth being fixed.
Would be nice if Toontrack looked into this though.

I’ll be adding the BFD grooves to Addictive Drums 2. I’ll see if the inflated bar issue carries over there.
But the problem 1st arose when linking some Loop Loft grooves. And I have no problems with those in AD2.
The Loop Loft problem is not affecting as many grooves. A little time over several days and I should be able to manually fix these. But BFD had a LOT of grooves, and many of them are affected. I’m not up to manually addressing those.
