    what if I used something like the Alesis trigger i/o?  I have 2g ram on my laptop so I think I will have the space.  Or is it easier to just go the old DM4 or DM5 route?  Thanks for your help on this.  It means a ton.

Thanks for the reply.  Since I am using Protools and I’m fairly new to the game can you tell me what interface might work?  I will probably trigger only the kick and snare to save on memory but I do have 2 gigs on my laptop.  Do you think this combo will work efficiently enough?

Do you know how I can use the mixed sounds I have created for our album for live shows.  I am going to trigger my acountic kit using something like the Alesis Trigger I/O and hope to hook it up to DFH but will it only play the drum sounds from the program as they sound before I have a chance to use effects on them?  If so then I hope S2.0 will fix that beccause it seems there will be some effects included.  This is probably a very elementary question but I am dying to get s2.0.  I have Vista right now so everything is limited.
