Will Superior Drummer 1 run on new macs?

I use my mac for work (non music) and my music stuff. Currently on a imac on BigSur.
My work software needs updating so I have to get a new mac, but spending another load of cash on updating new music software is just not in the budget.
Will Superior Drummer 1 run on new macs?

I don’t NEED anything more than my SuperiorDrummer 1 does, or any other features of newer software. My other option is to just buy a new mac for work and leave this one running music stuff on Big Sur.

We can see that you have Superior Drummer 2 registered to your account.

Superior Drummer 2, as well as EZdrummer 1 and 2, have been discontinued for some time and are no longer being updated. As a result, these products are not compatible with macOS 15 Sequoia and will not install or function properly on that operating system.

Thanks for the excellent info. What’s the latest system it will run on? I would only buy another version of SD if it was not too expensive. My issue is, that I don’t need anything better than SD2, so too fork out cash I don’t have seems unnecessary.

The latest official release available in the Toontrack Product Manager for EZdrummer 2 supports up to macOS 14, and for Superior Drummer 2, up to macOS 10.13.

Superior Drummer 2 may still run on later versions of macOS, but we cannot guarantee compatibility, as it has not been updated or tested beyond macOS 10.13.
