What’s not working? I’m not seeing any problems.

SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

After the latest update I get a stupid we are Toontrack. Really as if I didn’t know that already. I then press play in Cubase 12 and find that the idiots need me to go into SD3 and say. I know who you are before SD3 actually works. If the idiots in marketing want me to like them. This is not the road to go down. Why o Why screw with something that works!

Make the idiots who broke it work over the weekend and fix it by Sunday. That will teach them what it means to be professional software/firmware engineers.

    Hi there,

When you say it doesn’t work, you mentioned that you don’t hear your drum track when you press play on the Cubase transport until you open the SD3 plug-in, yes? Do you have your grooves on the timeline within Cubase or on a track within the plug-in?

Do you trigger drums with a MIDI controller? If so does that work before you open the plug-in within Cubase?

I’m not seeing this behaviour in Pro Tools (on Mac), that’s why I am asking….

No it works perfectly after I actually go into SD3 and aknowledge the about box. Why screw with a good thing. This is pure letting marketing people near your develpment team. I was a firmware engineer for over thirty years. I know how to run a team of firmware engineers and this sucks. Most engineering team leaders would neverlet this happen. It is about talking pride in what you do.

Is there a changelog that shows what’s been changed in this update (and what operating system is required)? I ask because I’ve run into other developer’s products that require an OSX later than High Sierra OSX 10.13.6.

Thanks – no change to operating system supported or required.

Question: if this update has an issue like what the OP is talking about can I re-install the earlier version?

If you go Product Manager > Superior Drummer 3 > Show Details > Downloads

It will give you the last full installer, which is 3.2.8.

Otherwise, if you don’t “cleanup” your Product Manager Downloads folder. You may also have the previous updates in that folder.

So you have an about box on the splash screen? Can you post a screen print? That may help them idenitify the issue.

Again I am not seeing this on my system, that’s why I am asking.

I just did the update and it’s working just fine – not seeing the issues the OP is talking about. Then again he’s on Windows and Brad and I are on some version of OSX.

So updated and yes I got the splash screen but it disappeared quite quick in standalone as well as Cubase 11 pro. So I do t see the the reason for the splash screen but it doesn’t have any impact on my working and I don’t have to go into any settings to get rid of it.

I’m on Win 11 and use Cubase Pro 12. I did get the splash screen, but SD3 loaded up just fine.
